As a vegan who is obsessed with croissants and baked goods, Black Box Bakery has truly created croissants so good that I dream about them! This team is dedicated to making incredible pastries and despite factors completely outside their control have done their best to offer vegan options when possible. This is the first bakery I recommend to friends from out of town to try. I also always recommend checking their Instagram stories to make sure they plan to have what you’re looking for and get in early if you want something specific because it’s a small bakery with out of this world treats that other people will snatch up quickly if you don’t. Infinite thank you to these bakers that have made this local vegan so happy!

This place has the best pastries I’ve ever had. Been coming here consistently for almost a year now and I love seeing what creative pastries they come up with. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for unique and amazing pastries. I’ve had some hit or miss espresso from here but the pastries more than make up for it.

Drove 20mins to get a vegan croissant, arrived 1 hour after they opened on a weekday so figured they would definitely be available. As we awaited in line, someone came out and put a sold out sign on the vegan display croissant. She laughed and said “we aren’t actually sold out, we just haven’t made them yet”. Great, glad I made the special trip.
Just take the vegan option off the menu if the staff doesn’t feel like making it. Or maybe note that calling first to see if vegan option is available that day is recommended 🤷🏻♀️

The chocolate croissants were very stale. Definitely a few days old. It's appalling that a bakery would sell old croissants.
I dont think I had a favorite bakery before I went here. Now when I plan a trip to denver, I make sure I go early. Specifically for this place. Mind blown. Standing ovation to these guys.

Update: No longer serving vegan croissants 🥐 due to cost increases in their ingredients….. was super sad to find this out while visiting this weekend. Ended up just going with cold brew coffee, which was tasty.
