I experienced very slow service on a Friday night, unfortunately, even when the restaurant wasn’t close to being full. My friends and I waited over 40 minutes for our pizza to come out and then waited a long time for the check, while there were only about 6 people at the bar. I don’t recommend coming here if you have celiac disease; the only safe option is a salad and the portion is small.

We love this place!! The food is always delicious and the service is so friendly. Yesterday, they seemed to think their service was slow, but not to us! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. Prices are very affordable and we look forward to supporting this business for years to come! The pizza is awesome and the prosciutto bruschetta app is heavenly.

We have been going here for years, always got The sweetness pizza and a salad. Unfortunately, the new owners have changed the pizza so much that we will probably not go back. The crust is completely different, chewy instead of crisp and moist as it was before. They are using a smoked pepperoni that completely overwhelms the whole pizza and not in a good way. We just never understand why new owners insist on changing a decades old working formula for success! Too bad. This was always a comforting place that we loved and could rely on for quality food and great atmosphere.

Edgewater Inn: Worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. The sausage was not Italian or if Italian not like Belfiore or Polidori’s sausage. I’ve been eating at The Edgewater Inn for over 50 years. The new owners don’t know how to make a true Italian pizza.

Wow, what a total hidden gem. How have I lived a mile and 1/2 from this place and never been? Super old school cool decor and building. Reminded me of some of my favorite neighborhood bars back in Chicago. Delicious pizza. Super friendly and attentive service. Cozy and friendly vibes all around. And so affordable. Can't wait to go back!

Niya and her team have such an awesome thing going at Edgewater Inn! The staff were so friendly and the Veg Out pizza was delicious—crust was cooked perfectly. Love that they kept the charm of the original Edgewater Inn while infusing their own style. Excited to have this spot in Edgewater!

I've been to this place 3 times, and I don't think I'll be back. The pizza dough was so thin, all the toppings fell off, and the toppings were added to the pizza after it was almost done because the toppings were NOT hot! The tomato sause had no flavor... not a NY style pizza!! There's a certain technique on how to make an original NY style pizza, and they just haven't mastered it. I heard that this place has been sold 3 times! Changing ownership that many times in the last 5 yrs is a huge red flag. It's no wonder the food isn't that good. What a shame to waist a good legacy

Would give 0 stars if I could, horrible food, service isn’t much better, better hope they get your order right cause if they mess it up they’ll charge you for their mistake plus whatever you actually wanted when they finally get it right. Will NEVER eat here
