Are you in Edgewater, Colorado? Stop by the Electric Cure. This place specializes in rum and rum drinks and serves tiki cocktails in a creative fashion. No, it's not a traditional tiki bar, but the drinks are well balanced and created using a mixologists approach to cocktails. The interior is decorated with an eclectic array of items, and the people working here are larger than life amazing. Check for hours of operation and special events. You should plan solid sustenance accordingly, as this spot is cocktails. Absolutely positively worth a visit. Walk in, grab a seat, and have fun while sipping on a delicious cocktail. A bit chaotic but very vibey. I enjoyed their over-the-top cocktails and playful decor. It is a bit noisy and crowded for a casual catch up with friends. It would be fun to come back for their events like horror movie night & trivia!

Interesting theme and take on drinks. Pretty cramped and loud so navigating through and finding a place to sit can be tricky. Drink was good. Street parking all around

While this place certainly has a cool interior with a horror theme going on, they fall short on friendly customer service and good prices. I went with a few friends last night and even tho we individually purchased our drinks, they put an automatic 20% gratuity on all of our bills, which is highly unusual for a bar, especially since we waited for over twenty minutes sitting at the bar waiting for drinks. They also assumed my friend was going to steal her glass, which they told her to her face, and said they’d withhold her ID and card until it was returned (two other people ordered the same drink and they did not do this to them)
So honestly, won’t be returning and won’t recommend as they seem to have a god complex.

CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD AFTER COMING HERE. This bar overcharged me by $15 and I couldnt get a hold of anyone to fix it. I tried emailing and got no response and there’s no phone number you can call. I finally thought to try instagram and they messaged back but said too much time has passed to do anything about it. Tip is already included and I did not tip any extra, especially since I had a bad experience with the bartender. He didn’t give my credit card back right away and when I went to grab it before leaving he adamantly said he gave it back and that he “doesn’t steal credit cards.” That was a red flag since I was not accusing him of stealing it. Then after realizing I wasn’t going to leave, he pulls it out of his pocket and goes “oh here it is!” And he didn’t even apologize. Seems like he added some extra tip for himself.

The drinks are amazing and it has a great otherworldly feel. The bartenders were fabulous. We went early on a Sunday evening- i imagine it gets hectic on the weekends, but 4:30 on Sunday was perfect for a recluse looking for tasty over the top Tiki drinks. 🍸
