My husband and I went on Wednesday this week and took advantage of the special. The food came out quickly and it was excellent! The service was just as good, and Davy was so nice and she did a fantastic job! Amanda was also there and checked in to be sure all was well. We always enjoy Our visit from Shane, as he checks in to be sure our experience is top notch! We love going here for lunch!

Ordered takeout today. Burnt ends, brisket, pulled chicken. All were exceptional, as usual. Great quality, flavor, tenderness. Really appreciate having Sammie D’s in Elizabeth.

If I could give 100 stars I would. This place is hands down one of the best BBQ places that I have been to in a long time and this place is gluten free friendly they have a separate fryer that they cook the fries in and I could actually have fries with my meal. I have to give a shout out to Amanda she was our waitress and she gave amazing service, she is so sweet. Thank you Amanda for explaining about the Gluten free things I truly appreciate you. We will definitely be back we live 45 minutes away but we will be back.

Wow! The burnt ends were delicious! Kansas City holds nothing over these! The bar b q fries were also top notch. Highly recommend....give this place a try, it won't disappoint.

Delicious, authentic barbecue hidden gem. The barbecue is so good it regularly sells out. Pro tip: come for lunch to have the full selection. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating to my grandfather. Even finely chopping his meat.

FIRST TIME AND LOVED IT!!

Excellent BBQ! The brisket sandwich that I had was spectacular. My wife really enjoyed the 3 different types of sausages. The zucchini fries were amazing to start with as well. We even bought a pint of their homemade Carolina Gold sauce which was to die for! Can’t wait to go back soon!

We went for a late dinner last night, and we got the special, which was literally a FEAST for super cheap. The staff and owners were super accommodating and made us feel like family. Everything was delicious, especially the brisket! We will ABSOLUTELY be back!

We went on a Sunday recently (April 2025) right at opening. The service was excellent and the pulled pork sandwich was delicious! The pork was moist, flavorful and smoked to perfection! The service was friendly and responsive to all our needs! A gem in Elizabeth,wish we lived closer! Highly recommend 🩷

For anyone who knows how a true Smoke House operates, Sammie D's you are right on. A frequent sellout is nothing more than perfect quality. Kudos, we highly recommend your business!

Decided some BBQ sounded good after a tattoo session. And I'm glad I stopped by. The brisket was juicy and had robust smoke flavor all throughout. Coupled with the BBQ style fries and a cold drink, it was a great lunch.
