The chicken fried steak was so tough I just gave up. The green beans were soggy (literally) and tasted gross. The potatoes were watery. The gravy was tasteless. I'm usually happy with the food. This was pathetic. Hope the cake is ok. Won't order from them again.

I gifted my father two gift cards to this Black eyed pea. The server was named Colton. I will be seeing him shortly. But just know that my father handed him two gift cards. Came back and said he only received one. Then the supervisor was made aware. Colton came back and said he found the second gift card in his pocket after a big dispute was going on. My father said I know what I handed you. There was $5 left from the gift cards and they did not even compensate my father after he ate his food and was made a full of in front of other customers. I am beyond disgusted. Colton should be fired

Our waitress was amazing. Very attentive and not overly so. The chicken fried steak was good. Tender and flavorful while still being crispy on the outside. The mashed potatoes were real. There were even some chunks in them. The gravy was good and had some good black pepper in it. The salad was okay. Probably would not get it again. My daughter said the macaroni and cheese was decent.

I sat at the bar waiting for someone to help me for over ten minutes, the employees helped everyone but the delivery drivers waiting for orders, and when I was finally asked a question they told me the order was already picked up and wanted me to cancel it, which I do not have the power to do. And when I tried to call the restaurant to talk to a manager the phone just rand and rang and nobody answers. Pretty terrible customer service. And then they block me in Instagram because I'm trying to tell them what happened since nobody's answering the phone. Good job. Keep up the great customer service. Also to your reply this was not in the middle of the night I responded right away before the store even close at 8:00 p.m. So you're straight up lying.

I had an absolutely amazing experience from the moment I walked in. I was greeted by an amazing hostess, and then the manager, Hollywood, greeted me at my table and introduced himself. From the point he proceeded to take my drink order. He was a very lively individual with a wonderful personality. After bringing my drink and some hot fresh rolls to my table, he proceeded to take my order. Between him and my server, I did not want for anything throughout my meal. Every member of the staff was well presented and absolutely attentive to every individual in the restaurant. I have missed The Black Eyed Pea since the unfortunate shutdown of their locations throughout Texas and felt right at home walking in. The chicken fried steak I ordered was just as I had remembered back home. The Englewood location has just found a new regular as I will have to come back for the friendly environment, amazing service, and awesome food.

Came here Thanksgiving 2024. From the start, the hostess up front was AMAZING! She was so kind and patient. She was very organized. Once we sat down and ordered our food, our waitress was very professional as well. The food came out fast and tasted pretty good. Great job.
Been coming since I was a little girl, thanks to Ms.Karen the main manager has made me feel like a little girl again bringing back the lost beautiful memories of my grandfather the sevice is amazing and good always brings back a child hood warmth to your tummy🥹

Our table server was excellent, but there was no one to greet us at the door and my partner had to send her pork chop back because it was too tough. The server substituted a glazed ham steak without question, but the rest of the evening was a bit of a lower standard than normal.
