Everything was pretty good, but the bill felt exorbitant and unjustified. I'm not afraid to spend, but I probably won't here again.

12$ for a slice of coffee cake is not worth it.

The definition of the word osteria is a simple and inexpensive wayside inn... This restaurant is neither of the first two descriptors... Having said that, the food and service are both exceptional... Changing plates and silverware between each course might seem a little excessive and unnecessary, but it nevertheless was impressive as was the fact that the service team works together seamlessly. High ceilings give the impression of a space larger than it actually is and definitely does not feel as claustrophobic as tavernetta. We had been hoping for a suitable replacement for IL posto and this seems like it will be the one for us.
It would definitely help if there were more options in the $50 to $75 per bottle range... As far as we are concerned that would be the only complaint because everything that we tried (and we did quite a few items)... Was very good and definitely merits a repeat visit.

I had high hopes for this place and it was… meh. Took me forever to hunt down a reservation too!
Like other reviewers have mentioned, they do try to keep your dining experience to like an hour. Our waiter let us know that ahead of time. We finished our meal under 50 minutes from sitting down to paying. Take that how you will.
The food was a hit and miss. Appetizers: excellent. My pasta: great. My companion’s pasta: on the firm/undercook side. We struggled to understand if the cold cheese that comes with the pasta was supposed to be cold or just bad plating? Either way, we didn’t like cold creamy cheese in the pasta. So our main is 50/50… that isn’t amazing. The wine was good though so that’s a point.
My personal complaint is that the noise level inside this place is a bit on the loud side.
I’m sure this place will do fine considering it’s the only “nice” place around in the neighborhood. But for me, who have been to other restaurants in the group’s umbrella, the experience is just meh.
TLDR: food is hit or miss. Overall experience is meh.

Our group of four enjoyed our first experience at Osteria Alberico. Service was wonderful, pacing of courses was spot on and we enjoyed every dish aside from the carrots (Burrata, focaccia, fritto misto, bucatini all’amatriciana, pizza margherita, and bistecca alla fiorentina). The carrots were not tender enough and could have used a bit more char and sweetness. Excited to have this in the neighborhood and looking forward to returning.

My friends and I, who live in the neighborhood, were so excited to try this place, and we all left feeling like it misses the mark. The food is good, but the service is awkward. Not sure how else to describe it, other than it feels like it’s trying too hard to be a fancy Italian restaurant, when they could easily be a solid Italian neighborhood eatery.
We felt pressured to eat our apps too quickly by the waiter taking our small plates that still had food on them because our meals were on their way. He also kept moving our plates and silverware to make room for things, even though we were only 3 people at a 4 top and had plenty of room.
Feel like they need to focus on having great food and drinks and more casual service. Something like an Angelo’s on 6th.
Also, not a vegetarian-friendly place, unless you want carbs. No main entree to choose from and when we asked for speck on only half of the pizza, we were met with hesitation.
I wanted to love it, but am sadly disappointed. Hopefully they make some adjustments to help their guests feel more comfortable.

We had dinner there last night and it was wonderful! The service was very good, wine selection was extensive and reasonably priced, and the food was fantastic! The Burrata was the best I've ever tasted, the tuna was wonderful and our pasta entrees were outstanding. Some reviewers commented that it could be noisy and hard to hear your companions but we did not find this to be the case. The four of us are in our '50s and '60s and had no problem hearing each other even though the restaurant was completely full as it was a Friday night. We hope to come back soon and highly recommend it!

It has a fine dining price and a fine dining taste, but a busy food court atmosphere. Avoid this place if you want to actually talk to your dinner mates.
The food was great. We all enjoyed our meals. For $300 with 5 people the food should be great.
Our server was detailed, but could barely speak loud enough for half the table to hear her over the background noise. She regularly speed walked by us when we were trying to get her attention. I don’t think she was deliberately ignoring us, but it sure felt like it. We had to flag down the manager to get someone to take our dessert order. Oddly, they seemed way overstaffed. At any moment there were 3-4 staff waiting for something to do.
Another review mentioned this; we were pressured to order quickly and all at once. Apparently they get a lot of takeout orders and that can slow down the in house orders. I understand it happens, but they should not turn bad kitchen management into a problem for their customers to solve.
The atmosphere is horrible. The are reusing the cheap plastic chairs and tables from the last occupants. They’ve done nothing to help with noise dampening. It’s concete floors, exposed concrete ceilings and big windows. I was with an older crowd and had to repeat / relay most of what the server said to them. My voice was hoarse by the time we left. I’ll never recommend someone eat in there.

Love this restaurant. They know great food!!!
The people are super professional & friendly and we feel welcome. We had the amazing lobster squid ink pasta and the Mais pizza. Delicious. The burrata salad with apple was incredible. The ingredients are fresh and the squid ink sauce is slightly spicy!! They offer freshly squeezed orange juice. Perfect.
We love the modern Italian look. We have been back many times already and will bring many of our friends.

We were very happy with the service and the quality of food. A breath of fresh air when you’re looking for quality, Italian food, and good wines. Keep up the good work, Bobby.
