Sushi didn’t taste fresh. Avocado was brown in the rolls. The restaurant was stuffy and so uncomfortably hot. Don’t recommend at all.

Small, Cozy, and welcoming.
I come here regularly and can confidently say it's my favorite place to eat in the area.
Great food all around, from sushi to their japanese comfort food.
They always seem to have something new in to try as well - always fun to see what the owner's wife has cooked up for the week.
The staff is very nice and attentive.

This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in town. The owner-chef, who was trained in Japan, brings a level of expertise and tradition that is becoming increasingly rare in this area. The food is truly authentic, focusing on quality and technique.
During my visit tonight, I had the grilled saba (mackerel) and the deep fried aji (Spanish mackerel)—two delicacies that are difficult to find at other local Japanese spots. Both were exceptional. If you are looking for a dining experience that mirrors what you would find in Japan, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

ATT: NEW CHEF. OLD CHEF HAS RETIRED!!
Visited this place 2 days ago, so sad to report, it is not the same. So upsetting. Everything was stale, and smelled. The rolls I ordered all had a brown color to its fish, not fresh at all. Will not be returning. I even showed the waitress the brown in all the rolls, she said, we all eat this, it's fresh, nobody complains. Handed me the full bill.

My family was visiting the Denver area and we asked a Japanese friend for a restaurant recommendation. She told us about Sushi Kazu and we are glad that she did. My wife is Japanese and I used to live in Tokyo. The food was really good and the staff made us feel like we were back in Japan. Sushi Kazu is a must-stop for us from now on.

Great service, it was fast and hospitable and great eats. The shushi was amazing best in Colorado. My favorite roll was the orgasm roll and the katsu roll was a close second. Would recommend 10/10

We picked up some basic rolls for dinner, some of the worst sushi we’ve tried. It was warm, rice was mushy, overall sour taste and the sushi tasted super fishy.
We called to let them know and they offered for us to bring the food back for a refund. When i showed up they told me that’s how their food is supposed to taste and other people hadn’t complained.
Instead of getting the refund all i got was a 40 minute round trip for no reason. I wish they would have told me that upfront i would have just thrown it in the garbage

Great sushi rice which is super hard to find. Fish was solid but it was so refreshing to find a good sushi rice nigiri. Chef is Japanese.
