My husband and daughter (18 months) and I, ate here and had a really lovely experience. We got a couple sushi rolls, fried rice and chicken nuggets and it was all wonderful. The staff were really wonderful with my daughter, and even when she got upset for a moment, they brought out a small balloon to make her feel better. It was really sweet. ❤️

Wow oh wow! This place has some of the best sushi I've had! I love to eat locally and frequent the other places nearby, but the sushi at Sapporo is fantastic! Their salad and dressing is fresh, the mushroom soup is delicious. The nigiri is fresh and melts in your mouth. The rolls are flavorful and fun. I watched a couple of young people devour a giant platter of sushi - I loved that they just sat and ate and chatted - I'm pretty sure they liked it as much as we do! (EDIT 10/30/24 - we celebrated a birthday and it was 100% awesome!)

The service and atmosphere were good, but the rolls were awesome! The lunch special was very reasonable for the quality of the rolls. The filling to rice ratio was perfect. Seriously, Sapporo is right up there with my favorite sushi places I have ever been! Excellent find in Erie.

Wow, finally! A fantastic sushi environment with delicious fresh fish ?❤️ staff is extremely attentive and remembers you even after one visit. They deliver a tasty free little nibble to start (let them know if you're GF), and the server knew exactly how to make the special rolls GF if needed.

I've ordered take out from here and it was sooo good but I went in for lunch with my mom and was pleasantly surprised with the lunch specials. Very reasonable for a sushi lunch ($40 including tip for 2 of us). Great service, my mom and I had a lovely lunch. Highly recommend!

I am disappointed. - I had reservations and had what seemed like a good dinner last night with friends. The server was nice and the restaurant is very polished. But after going home and a few hours later, I got violently ill to my stomach. And all I could taste was the salmon and crab wantons. I was so so sick and just one of those sicknesses where you cannot leave the bathroom. I could not eat anything at all today and when I was finally feeling okay enough to contact the restaurant and alert them about what happened to me, I was very much dismissed. It is one thing to have a good server and another to have good service. I told them that I was very concerned for others eating at the restaurant and also asked if being our neighborhood go to place, I could be offered a refund or some kind of compensation based on what I had gone through. They told me no and that I could get a doctor’s note and have my insurance paid for. I told them that I was very sick and that I am not happy with the food and feel grossed out knowing that it was contaminated and could make people sick and I wanted a refund and they still refused. The first person who answered the phone was friendly and was welcoming in grabbing her manager right away, but after speaking with the manager and her speaking to the boss, I was dismissed and told that nothing could be done. I will be making a formal complaint to the health board and I hope that others can read this and know that if you eat this food be careful and also if you want to bring a complaint forward to them, you will not be heard or helped. This needs to be fixed after spending $150 plus on a dinner that didn’t stay in my stomach.
