Was a very interesting indoor outdoor restuarant in old Erie Co. We had an amazing Server. He checked on us frequently, his english was limited, but we could understand each other. My wife had the chicken chimi and I had the OMG burrito. Our server(wish I could remember his name) asked me if I was sure. Really really big, I assured him it was OK I could handle it. Both meals were good, loved the salsa. The chips could have been better. Seems most Mexican Resturants must by the same chip. I thought $2 for sourcream or guac was a little high. Sodas were $4, not crazy. Overall it was a good meal, not going say the best Ive had. If ever in the area again we would stop.

Our party was seated at a moderately busy time but with plenty of seats left. We watched as the three tables seated after us were helped and ordered while we were ignored. We asked the host to send over a server and sat for another 20 minutes while servers were busy talking or would make eye contact and look away. Overall we felt very unwelcome and ended up walking out having never been helped. Maybe it’s because we had a child with us and that was frowned upon.

Wapos is one of our favorite spots in Erie! The staff is always so kind—my kids notice it every time we go. Not only is the food delicious, but the portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere (with great music) makes it such a fun place to eat.

In old part of Erie very cool. Didnt know it existed. But had Huevos con chorizo. It was priced right and was delicious. The green chili was on point. Lots of flavor but not to much heat. Also came with beans and rice plus tortillas of your choice. Im definitely going back again.

Had to yell to be heard at our table. Brick wall and bare floors made for very noisey atmosphere. Bar crowd drunk and very noisey in such a small space. Blue-collar clientele overall. Food typical Mexican fare. Pitcher of Marguerites had very little Tequila in the mix. Back outside area was dusty and tacky. Had to ask waiter for ice.
Have been disappointed both times I have come here. First time, they don’t have near enough staff, could not get anyone’s attention or our food. When the food did come, it was not up to expectations. Second time, I specifically asked for no onions in my burrrito, was assured there was no onions or pico in it. I went all the way there to pick it up, open it up at home to find onions throughout the whole thing. I can’t eat it, don’t have time to drive back. You try to call the phone and it gives a message that the line is busy for two hours straight it goes on like this. Will not be returning for a third disappointing experience.
