Wow! Ember is amazing. This was our 1st time visiting the new Ember since we used to come when it was the Dunraven. The ambiance is so nice. Very upgraded! Our server was Robert, an Estes Park local who was superb! Excellent service and we were pleasantly surprised the food was better! We got the Steak & Frites and Chicken fried chicken. Highly recommend.
My mom and I came up to eat back in like October to the Duraven we had no clue it changed to this, if we knew this we wouldn't of came here to eat. We would of went else where and ate for cheaper and better food. The Dunraven fit Estas Park way better then this place does.
The atmosphere here is great, I love how they have updated the place. The cocktails were very good. The views are always amazing.
We came for a very early dinner at 3:30 pm and it was the lunch menu at that point. I ordered the meat skewer trio which was elk, bison and venison. Very tasty but a very small portion of meat. The rice it came with was really well seasoned and asparagus was good. My husband had steak and frites which looked good. Overall other then the small portion of protein it was a good meal.

We came on thanksgiving and the dinner buffet was awesome! Bison short ribs was out of this world. Turkey and ham was delicious. Sweet potato casserole awesome. Great variety for buffet style. Even cranberries were quite tasty. This was our first time being out for this holiday and the food and atmosphere was awesome that I would do it again and come here for thanksging again!! The view was beautiful. The wait staff was awesome and very accommodating. The food out of this world. Definitely be back here when we visit again.

My husband & I celebrated my 60th birthday at Ember and it was an amazing experience. The hostess mentioned my birthday the minute we walked in, and everyone made me feel very special all evening long. Our table had a beautiful view of the lake, although night fell quickly at the end of November. The food was amazing! Lisa, our waitress, was so informative & attentive, giving us a description of how the chef prepares the dishes, and drinks. She engaged in conversation to the point that it added to the experience, not distracted from it. The only downside to the entire evening was the temperature of the restaurant. It was very cold. We asked our waitress if the bartender had any specialty drinks that would warm me up, a little while later he came out with a custom drink that he spent time in the kitchen actually cooking, and creating, rum, with some holiday spices, and called it a Colorado Sleigh Ride. I would highly recommend this place for your next celebration. You won't be disappointed.

Thanksgiving buffet dinner.
Not overly impressed. Average quality and for $69 you would expect some of the chefs creativity.
20% gratuity automatically added, a bit steep for a buffet. Like other Gafner restaurants, there is an additional charge for credit cards. Thankfully no added kitchen appreciation.

Felt like a hidden gem, delicious presentation. Server / bartender was very knowledgeable about wines.

This place has had a major revamp and new ownership since the last time we were here. We’re sad that there is no longer a happy hour, but the remodel is very nice. We just got drinks and took them out to the fire place and were very impressed with the drinks and the atmosphere. It is on the expensive side but this is Estes park. Would come back and try dinner here to watch the sunset.

Probably the worst food in Estes.
Small portions for the price.
The food is presented nicely but doesn’t hit the mark on flavor.
But worst of all, my kids were served spoiled meat on their burgers. They took a bite and said it tasted funny. So I took a bite and it was tangly and sour (however I just had eaten a bite of goat cheese) so I passed to my 17 year old daughter to try and she gagged and spit out. Husband took a bite and said it was the most tangy beef he’s tried. They took it back and changed it out but to kitchen staff or management came to check so clearly they didn’t care. I see lots of food poisoning in their future.
(Just a side note: we order straight from the ranch in Texas and this is not gamey meat, it’s sat in the truck off temp for hours meat)
Service is subpar at best: empty resturant and host told us 10 minute wait , for five people, as we watched the tables fill from others coming after us.
Sat for 15 minutes until we were greeted. No water refills unless we ask. Then they bring a small bottle partially filled and never refilled it so we all ran out of water two or three times since the glasses were so small and could never get a refill without flagging someone down.
We miss Dunraven! I’d be careful eating here, high dollar spoiled and cheap quality food and service.
Update: the manager finally came over when we requested the take off the food that wasn’t good. She argued with me that it was good meat and not spoiled without ever even tasting it. She clearly didn’t care even a little bit. She was rude and had a bad attitude. To date, the only bad food we’ve had in Estes
It's a must if in the area couldn't fault anything.
We arrived on a weekend night not booking a table. We were asked if would like to wait for an available one or just sit in window.
Atmosphere was very warm and offered a homely experience. You were certainly welcomed.
I wish I remembered the waiters name but he was great and had a nice repore with other customers. He was well versed in the menu and attentive.
Price are what you expect to pay. One day hopefully we will be back.
They also do not press you for tips. Which made us in general pay more and made for a nicer experience.

Shocked I hadn’t been here before, the food, service and views are unbeatable. Our server was kind and informative, and best of all honest about the wine choices. I got the lobster flatbread and a glass of the Architect Cab Sauvignon.
10/10 will come here again

We had an amazing time here and the portions were big as we had everything split between two people and the images were just my portion.
The steak Frits were delicious! The lobster Mac was delicious!
Not sure why others complain about portions as they were big. A++ from a fellow foodie!
