The vegan Philly cheesesteak was excellent.

We stopped by Scratch Deli and Bakery on a busy Memorial Day Saturday and were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly they handled the rush. Despite the crowd, our to-go order was ready in about 25 minutes - very reasonable for how packed they were.

The sandwiches truly shined:

The Italian was a standout - perfectly balanced with quality meats, fresh veggies, and just the right amount of dressing on excellent bread. Even my husband, who doesn't usually go for Italian subs, really enjoyed it.

The French Dip was also delicious, with tender meat and soft bread that held up well.

Fresh chocolate chip cookies came out of the oven while I was waiting for our food. They were as large as my hand. Had the line not been so long I would have gotten back in it to buy many, many cookies.

What we loved:
✓ Really well-made sandwiches with fresh ingredients
✓ Efficient service even during peak hours
✓ Clearly takes pride in their food
✓ Nice bakery selection

A great local deli that we'll definitely return to when we're in the area. The Italian sandwich alone is worth coming back for!

yikes. got a sandwhich and it took 40 minutes. they gave me a pesto aioli which literally just mayo, and by the time i got the sandwhich the bread was completely wet and soggy. disappointing because i was excited to try this place

If you love toasted sandwiches then this is the place to must go.
Scratch Deli & Bakery is a delightful hidden gem that offers some of the best homemade sandwiches and baked goods around. The quality and freshness of the ingredients truly set this place apart everything tastes like it was made from scratch with love. Their sandwiches are hearty, flavorful, and perfectly balanced,

Our go-to in Estes Park! An absolute staple, everything is amazing.

I had high hopes based on reviews. I ordered the Reuben as it comes. The portion was large. Bread toasted. Meat and sauerkraut were plentiful. Unfortunately, there was not a lot of flavor from the meat, and the bread was soggy in the middle. I ate it at the shop, so it was not an issue of taking it home first. I ate it right after it was served. I won’t be going back. The other three folks who were with me also said they would not be going back.

Probably the best seitan philly I've ever had??? At this teeny tiny cute deli! Perfect post-hike (or pre-hike), and the guy running it is so sunshiney and sweet; he knew everyone's names. 😭 So glad we popped in!

Bright ON OPEN sign on the side of the building. Marked as open on google, people sitting inside and out. Walked up, and got excited to order some of the fresh baked goods in the display.

Owner/Baker YELLED at us to get out, that they were closed?! Bizarre! Even if you are sold out of bread, you can still sell your other items right? Also you can do so in a kind manner. Really strange! Guess you don’t want to sell your cake slices or cookies!

We went next door to Bird’s Nest and got great food, and great kind service!

We love this spot whenever we are in town. Service is always mountain town friendly, food is bees knees, prices are so approachable. Great to grab breakfast or lunch before heading into RMNP. Being a little removed from main Street makes this a gem in hiding. Country gravy burrito, Ruben, and the BLT hit the spot and our go tos. Fresh baked cinnarolls or cookies all the time too.
