This restaurant is located in Estes Park, on the drive from Boulder to the Rocky Mountains.I had a hamburger for lunch. Accompanied by coleslaw and fries. I was surprised at how much potato there was. Koichi Rusuroichi was also easy to eat. The hamburger had a strong meat flavor and was delicious. The interior of the store is also decorated with old photos, giving you the feeling that it was once a mining area.

Upon a recent sojourn to the esteemed Grubsteak tavern in the hamlet of Estes Park, a tale unfolded that is worthy of the minstrels' song. Encircled by the tavern's age-old timber and stone, we were tended by Joe, a steward of the ale whose devotion to the ancient crafts of hospitality and brewmanship was manifest in every deed.In a moment that captured his commitment to noble service, Joe, perceiving that the cask from whence my ale was to be poured had nearly spent its vigor, acted with haste. With the sagacity of a seasoned brewmaster, he replaced the tired barrel with a fresh one, ensuring that my drink was drawn from the purest wellspring, robust and revitalizing. The ambiance of Grubsteak, together with Joe's meticulous ministrations, transformed our repast from a simple feast to a legendary gathering. To those in pursuit of not merely sustenance but a saga wrought with care and served with honor, venture forth to this revered hall.

We have come here several times. Lost of seating and good options for food. When someone comes to visit we usually bring them here for one of our meals out. Reliably good experience.

This used to be our favorite place to eat in Estes. Extremely expensive and nothing was fresh! We will never be back. Service was so slow too.

Honestly the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had eating out. If I could give zero stars, I certainly would. I feel like my family was just robbed of $200. I’ll never be back…

If you want to pay $75 for two burnt burgers, go ahead and check out this place! We also ordered two cups of chili and it was good. The burgers were hockey pucks at best, burnt buns. Super slow service. Would recommend almost any other restaurant in Estes over this one.Editing to add (since the business is trying to call me a liar) we did order more than two burnt burgers. I mentioned already we also ordered two bowls of chili. In addition, we got mozzarella sticks and all got drinks. So no, I’m not being dishonest, we paid $75 and half of our food was not edible. I’ll go ahead and attach my bank statement since he business wants to insinuate I don’t know where I ate it in a liar. What a wild response! Maybe be more focused on your business busting out disgusting burnt food?

Total disappointed after paying almost a $100 for 2 ribeye steaks & 2 soft drinks. We sat in the bar area when our food was delivered we had to ask for the silverware, when he brought it to us I pulled it out of the wrapper and asked him if we could use the dining room silverware instead of the cheap flimsy bar silverware. He answered that was the only silverware they had. Ok so we're going to eat a $40 steak with almost disposable silverware, no problem. When I realized there was absolutely no spice or butter on the almost cooked veggies, I asked for some butter to pour over them, he brought me back a glump of rock hard ice-cold butter, considering that the veggies and mashed potatoes were only luke warm to begin with, this wasn't really going to help at all. Then with the extremely dull steak knife I sawed my way through the tough steak☹️I did however ask for a box for our leftovers, thinking I could make a decent stir fry out of it From 2 steaks, after I retrieved every possible shred of meat left, I was left with 7.9oz of fat and gristle for the trash. Not sure what the weight of the steaks were to begin with but at least the stir fry turned out ok☺️Btw this is only the 2nd bad review I've ever given to any restaurant.

Great food and service, would definitely recommend trying it if you're looking for something in Estes Park.Parking: There's a free parking lot behind the building on the opposite side of the creek. Depending on the time of day it may be full.Kid-friendliness: They were great with the kids, even in spite of the spilled water cup.

The bison shepherd’s pie and the grilled chicken salad are both wonderful dishes! Jesus Gutierrez is such a great chef, the home made guacamole and grilled chicken are exceptional! Great place among so many mediocre restaurants. Great decorations, great server (Christian), and just a really friendly place.

We were vacationing and were looking for an elk burger. This place started they served elk burgers. Upon arriving at the restaurant and walking inside we couldn’t locate anyone. I called the phone number and the phone just rang and rang no one came to answer the phone. Google ad said they were open and the door was open so I’m not sure what was going on. Left and walked down the street and got a great elk burger

Super nice service but the food was overpriced for what it was. A $20 Philly was sadly dry and the onion rings had good flavor but somewhat underdone batter. A $90 lunch that wasn’t totally worth it.

We had a large group when we came in. It took a while to get seats even though it seemed a bit slow since there were so many of us. I didn’t see much seating as we walked through the restaurant to the bar area. Even still we had an amazing time. The food and our waitress were both outstanding. All the orders were served together, hot and correct. The view from our seat was breathtaking. We are so happy we came in and will definitely be back.
