Very delicious good!! I'd absolutely go back! And we had an amazing waitress. The friend chicken is gluten free which was so wonderful and it was delicious. My only con is the restaurant felt over priced.
We ordered the Spicy Fried Chicken Tortilla Soup and Classic Cheeseburger to eat. We had the Post Margarita and Hold My Earrings to drink. The soup was definitely spicy, but really good. The cheeseburger was one of the best I've ever had, very tasty and juicy. Great service and staff.
French dip sandwich was great. Small salads are equivalent to a side salad. I paid $20 for a side salad and a chicken breast, which was a little on the expensive side. The marshmallow chocolate pie was a bit dry. Overall, service was good. Food was good. The restaurant was clean and had a great view.
Food and table service were good, but bar experience was terrible. While waiting for our table, we stood at the bar for 15 minutes and were unable to get served. After being seated, we placed our order with the server. The server eventually came back and said the order (beer/wine) might take a while and asked if we wanted to place our dinner order. The drinks eventually arrived, but we had now been in the restaurant for over 30 minutes. Either their bar is severally understaffed or just poorly staffed.
We were there on a Friday night, the food that we did get was fantastic, but they were out of nonalcoholic beer, which my husband looks forward to, they were out of mashed potatoes, (how does a fried chicken place run out of mashed potatoes?) and then to top it off they were out of all desserts except for ice cream. Just don't understand how they could be out of so much. Very disappointing.
Order the chicken and waffles! SO, SO good. The house Margarita is delicious too! Nestled at the base of the Stanley Hotel, it's causal, fun and the service is excellent! Note... $10.00 fee for parking and the restaurant gives you $5 off your bill. Don't miss this local gem!! Its really good!
The biscuits were delicious! A little difficult to find, they should have a better sign outside, but it was fun!
Table service was very good, food excellent, bar service a little slow, but my server comp'd me the drink that arrived late so overall it was very good.
It was wonderful and the team even celebrated my partner- which i wasn't expecting. He doesn't love a song celebration but the dessert was so appreciated. I wish you could opt out or in on a public celebration.
After a bit of a snafu with our reservation, Ashley the hostess was outstanding. She was the whole reason it made us want to come back as she treated us like royalty. What a gem! She deserves a raise

To start with, we had reservations for 5:15 pm and at 5:30 pm we were still standing alone at the reception stand and no one appearing to care we were there! I finally asked the bartender if anyone was working the desk as we had reservations. His answer was they'll be back and went about his business. After another 5-10 minutes a lady showed up at the desk and said we had some unexpected walk-ins and had to find them a place to sit. How about your customers WITH RESERVATIONS???. We finally got seated and Chris was our waiter ( who after taking our order, we never saw again at our table). No “how's your dinner of may I refill your iced teas?, Nothing!!! Now about the dinner: fried chicken was dry and overcooked, salty and just not good. The biscuits they rave about were burnt from the oven, had no flavor and should not have been served in the first place!! My wife's roasted chicken was undercooked and virtually impossible to cut with a steak knife. Basically inedible! At the end of dinner when a woman brought the check to us there was a 2.9% surcharge on it. We asked her what that was for and she really had no clue (Rip Off!!). She said everyone in town does it. No ma'am they do NOT!! We've traveled often to Estes Park and there are many better places to dine with better food and service!! Save your money and go elsewhere!! We won't be back for sure.
Enjoyed our dining experience at The Post next to the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park and would recommend it to others. We were seated promptly at our reserved time at the front windows with a great view of the Rockies. The rustic decor was a nice touch and added to the fun of the evening. Of course, The Post is all about chicken, so I had the chicken tenders and my husband had chicken and waffles. Both were cooked perfectly (not dry or overdone). The only negative was that the batter was a bit on the salty side (reason for one less star on the food rating). Just not our preference. Our server was attentive enough even as the place got busier. Note: You have to pay $10 for parking. But you're given a $5 token that you can apply to your bill. Not a deal breaker, and we were expecting it. Anyway, it was a pleasant meal after a day of hiking in RMNP.
Melissa, our server, was amazing! Her drink & entree recommendations were spot on! We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here!
Deviled eggs and cheddar biscuits were good. Hubby really enjoyed the pork chop dinner and I enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Great staff. Overall great experience.
Amazing views and great food and drinks! Highly recommend. The biscuits are to die for and the chicken and waffles are the best!
