What you have here is an old fashioned Mexican, Family run restaurant which means the food was outstanding and the service was very attentive. Prices were reasonable and the menu was very diverse. Will definitely be back!Parking: Had no trouble finding adequate parking on the street.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu, tables not too close together so you don't need to worry if your kid is misbehaving.

Absolutely disgusting. I have been sitting at the toilet for 45 minutes now with serious stomach issues and diarrhea. The service was very rude, the food was extremely disappointing, and I am now in pain because of it. Please do not go here!!!!

Surprised how good the food was, as we spur of the moment stopped on our drive from Breckenridge to Colorado springs. Definitely recommend.

Good food, friendly staff, fun old building in a quirky mountain town.

Really disappointed by my last visit and I doubt I will be coming back. I think they have good chips and salsa and friendly service, but my last meal was absolutely awful because it was clearly left under an extremely hot heat lamp for far far too long. The top of all my food was literally brown when I got it from the heat lamp. It was so hot I couldn't put it in my mouth for 2 to 3 minutes and the enchiladas and rice were discolored on top. Also, I asked for refried beans and I was ignored and given black beans which are super dry and tasteless at this restaurant. Ultimately, the restaurant is just mid and it's a bummer because I'd love some good Mexican food in my hometown.

We have a mountain house in the fairplay area.... We always make the drive into town to eat the carne asada and skinny margaritas! Great food, great staff! Thank you Salon Mexico for consistently being excellent! Happy to reccomend this spot to others. If your looking for a sign- this is it...eat here!

We stopped in on our way to Mt. Princeton. It was the day before Thanksgiving and we were so glad they were open. We only had margaritas, queso, salsa, and chips. It was a fantastic experience and we look forward to going back again to get more food. Service was on point and friendly. Overall, it was a great time.

Not impressed at all with food, service or atmosphere. Extremely greasy food. Very different than what we thought we were ordering. Would have ordered way less if we knew what we were actually getting. The waiter couldn’t explain anything. Drinks and salsa were the best part. Extremely dusty in the air you can see it all it looks like they have no ac, no ventilation or air filtration happening whatsoever.

This facility was built in 1923. So very interesting interior. The service was great. My combo fajitas were fine and my wife liked her pollo chipotle.
