Friendly service and the most delicious soups EVER. Would eat here every day, if I could. Been back often...have to mention the turkey/tomato sandwich with fresh sprouts and awesome marinated chicken salad with Thai Peanut Vinaigrette. Heaven! Owners are the best!

Excellent soups and delicious sandwiches! We had shrimp creole soup, lentil curry spinach soup, and hot ham and brie - all amazing! Tastes like the soups are made from scratch and the bread seems homemade. Everything was delicious, including the gluten free options!
Vegetarian options: Lentil curry and spinach soup was amazing!
Dietary restrictions: The gluten free chocolate chip cookies were delicious!

Fresh & tasty salads & soups! Soup/salad combo meals with bread are just the right amount of food. Their grilled cheese sandwiches are also delicious! We eat here (or take it with us) every time we are in town.

#2 is the way to go! We tried Tomato Basil & Pork Green Chili for our soups. Phenomenal flavor & the grilled cheese was crispy & cheesy. Definitely hit the spot after hiking!
First time we went here, the place was packed with locals—that’s how you always know it’s a great place to eat. The soup selection is phenomenal, and we were surprised by how many other options there are for a place just named for its soup—including sandwiches, drinks, pastries, cookies and more. Despite having only a couple people to work at the time, service was excellent and very friendly. Great place both times we have visited, and we’ll be back again.

First, the negative. The restroom was out of order, so I had to walk to the gas station next door or opt for a porta potty in the parking lot. Now for the good, the food was amazing soups and sandwiches. And the service was with a smile. Great place, and I would go there again. Hope they get the restroom fixed soon.
Every time I stop at the Soup Pot, I find a new favorite. I’m not even a “soup person” because the ones you get from restaurants are rarely from scratch or seasoned properly. All of the soups here are homemade, the flavors are unique, and the seasoning is perfect. Sandwiches are great here too. You may have to wait a little bit because it’s usually only one person running the place, but it is sooooo worth being patient. I hope they never leave Fairplay since there are so few restaurant options in town now.

Wonderful restaurant & great last minute find while my wife & I were driving to Denver. Staff was friendly & soup selection is amazing.
Visiting from Texas, and with it being cold and rainy, soup sounded like a perfect dinner. I got the Ancho Chili Soup, Chinese Chicken Salad, and Bread. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was hearty and comforting!
My only wish is that the bread had been warmed slightly, as we got the last few loaves and they were cold.
