If you've only eaten "Mexican food" north or west of Oklahoma, this review is not for you...If, however... you've had Mexican food between Oklahoma and Mexico, then you'll find this food off-putting and a bit odd.I should say at the outset that the cheese enchiladas, rice and chips were good. The hot sauce and the carnitas, however, were not so good. The carnitas, which should be slow roasted with plenty of seasonings and time... and run over a grill for even more flavor... had all the off-putting hallmarks of coming out of an instapot... mushy at times, poor flavor, and all around bad.The hot sauce, which is the first thing you judge a "Mexican food" place by, was just weird. Considering how easy it is to make a good salsa... (hint pico in a blender works) this place seems to prefer taking their enchilada sauce and just adding some heat to it. It's not as bad as semi-spicy ketchup, but close. The others at my table found their dishes acceptable, but not good. All in all.. mediocre service, horrible carnitas, and "meh" food in general, we all agreed that we would not be returning.

We had La Mission cater 25 for my wife's retirement party. It was fantastic!!!!! The portions were great. The price was great and it was ready exactly on time. We highly recommend them!!!! We had the chicken enchiladas, beef enchiladas, chili rellenos. It came with guac, chips rice beans and green chili. Everyone loved it and we had very little left. Thank you!!!!

Went here on a recommendation for lunch, the Carne Asada Street Tacos were fantastic (not on Main menu at time of writing this, got to ask for them). Is definitely now in the top places for the street tacos. Thanks La

Margarita was not good. Sent back. Seat yourself. Waited 10 minutes before we got menus. Food was ok. If the staff doesn't personally know you they forget about you.

We came on a Sunday late afternoon after visiting the area & went looking for a place to eat lunch & saw the sign. So we came in, I'm used to Tex-Mex & my husband is used to Colo-Mex and no matter where we go our daughter gets fajitas. Everything was excellent! They even had a red sauce that was spicy but not overwhelming. Jeremy was a great server, just attentive enough but not bothersome, kept our drinks topped up and explained some of the menu items well.

Love this restaurant! What makes it even better is that they have sides that my grandma used to make!! Not just your typical rice and beans!

I liked the menu options. I had a combination plate so I could try the different items. Taco, enchilada and tostada. I chose rice and carrots beans as my sides. I also had a frozen margarita.I like the fact that they had fried taco shells for their tacos. However, the shell was fried a little too long and was kind of brown. The meat needed more seasoning. The enchilada was ground beef with red sauce. The sauce was pretty good and I liked the spiciness of it. The meat was the same as the taco. My bean tostada was ok. The beans could have had more seasoning and the fried tostada was fried a little too long as it had browned as well. The margarita was aroun over $6 and was par for the price. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. I hope they take this as constructive criticism because I think with a little tweaks could be a great neighborhood restaurant. Best wishes.

The only booth that was free was dirty with food bits. Got it cleaned and sat down to receive cold broken chips. After a few minutes an old couple came in reeking of cigarettes and I couldn't take the stench. So we asked to move to another table. At this point I wish I just decided to leave. We got our food and it was just ok... The rice was old and dry and for the price really not worth it at all. The portion size has gotten smaller but the prices have gone up. We have gotten this for take out many times in the years we have lived here. Honestly, just really disappointing and the service wasn't even good. It felt like the person was only there to help fill for the night. Maybe a really off night, but I definitely won't be back.
