Great place to get groceries most of the cashiers know you by name

Grouchy older lady Shauna (who is rude everytime I've seen her) at self checkout informed me that self checkout is 15 items now. There are no signs posted saying that and it's busy as ever. They only have one checkout open. Making people's lives even more difficult. No wonder everyone shops at King soopers now

I'm a garbage man. I service their compactor. They always overload the can and fail to compact. This leads to big piles of trash left on the ground for me to clean up.

Today, I called a manager before I left for the landfill because they overladed the can again. They said they would make an announcement to their employees so they wouldn't overload the can. When I got back, there was even more trash on the ground. They threw trash into the shute even though it was obvious the compactor was gone and getting service. It was probably the manager. Terrible people work here. If you value how people are treated, shop somewhere else.

I've been a Safeway customer since I turned 20 more than 40 years ago. Safeways meat, bread, and produce is always 1st class. The 'young man with the long white beard' in produce is one of my favorites ever. Today it was busy with people in line stacked back into the isles. There was just ONE single person actually doing checkout and he was in the normally 15 item or less lane with a lot of people in line. So CONFUSION. I thought, WOW not a single REGULAR 15+ CHECKOUT PERSON at 5:30pm. Brilliant. I went ahead and waited in the self-checkout lane and when it was my turn I moved up and started checking my cart full of groceries out. At about the end of my check out I had a nice Safeway lady who had helped me earlier in the store tell me that the 9 (6?) self check outs were reserved only for 15 items or less customers. As she walked away I inquired why there was only one lane for the 15 item plus customers? She kept walking and probably didnt hear. I finished up, paid for my groceries and walked out. It's funny... there is a New King Sooper basically a crossed the street that I have yet to even enter. Walmart is also a crossed the street and I rarely go there for food. But I guess I need to rewire my thinking. I have kept going to Safeway as King Sooper opened and has been all the rage. I'll drive by a packed King Sooper parking lot over to Safeway who's parking lot is a quarter full. I'm a loyal customer as shown by my actions. Safeway's management needs to step up their game. Seriously. Be more nimble. It should be the self-checkouts job to watch the regular checkout line and as soon as it hits 3 carts they should call for another regular checkout to come up front. Its not hard stuff people. Too bad good things go away eventually.....people in ruts resting on their lorrals.... when competition arrives you step your game up. And putting the regular check out where the normally 15 items or less lane is? Not the best idea....

Overall this store isn't any better or worse than the others in falcon, however there is an older lady that works here and is always in a foul mood and rude for any of her interactions. How she still works here is beyond me. I actively dread shopping here while she is working in the case that I have to interact with her.

Store was nice and clean and everything seem to be in stock that I needed. My only annoyance is self check out is 15 items or less and you only have 2 regular checkers open. The line I ended up in I waited like 15 minutes because she seemed really incompetent and didn’t know what she was doing. If the store is not busy why not let those with like 25-30 items use the self check out? Also, the store was dead and maybe only like 12 other people were shopping.

Safeway is not my first choice of grocery stores because of their prices, but this safeway is nice. The employees are nice, the store is clean and it has a good selection. If I am shopping safeway, this is the location I go to.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!! And SHRINKFLATION??? Oh my!!! Ground beef $8.49 a pound. Chicken $8-9 a pound. And I just bought their coffee and when I opened it, it was 2” from the top for $11!!!
I am done with Safeway.

This is my favorite grocery store in town, I can find everything I need here. All the products are neat on the shelves and the store is always clean. I do wish the self checkout was limited to 10 items or less, it seems people like to check themselves out with a giant cart full of things, holding up the line for people who only have a few items in hand.

The store is a little older and doesn't carry a wide range of groceries as some of the bigger stores, but it is adequate for quick trips.

It is difficult to drive into and out of the parking lot however, particularly when pickup trucks or larger are involved (which are always involved at this edge of rural location!) The parking lot was very poorly planned for the incoming and outgoing traffic so be careful driving in or out of there.

Great store. Friendly people. Goodselection of items.

It was great. I was able to find everything I needed. Produce was fresh and appeared to be in much better quality and shape than the closest big name store. Customer service is also much better than the closest big name store. It's my preferred choice despite the smaller options. During my last visit there were far fewer shoppers in the store, which led me to believe the newer and much bigger store that just opened nearby will unfortunately have a negative impact on this one.
