Rookies Taphouse and Eatery

Walked in and got sat. Saw they had a big party in the back and a few other tables that needed helped. Watched both servers help all tables. Host is walking around doing nothing and doesn’t even offer to get us drinks watching her serving staff struggle. We sat there for 10 mins, enough for me to play 3 games of tic tac toe with my daughter annd my wife annd youngest daughter to color in their kids menus and then saw them sat another table of 3 and a server instantly greeted them. I walked out after this happened and not a single one of the staff cared enough to stop us and ask what was going on. No table should ever not be greeted or let know it’s gonna be a minute. I will not come back again. That type of service to ignore a table you see with menus and no drinks no restaurant should be in business if that’s how they are gonna run their service. I’m sorry to the BOH staff that I didn’t get to try the food that looked delicious.

Ordered the Carolina pork burger asked for rare on the order form. Instead got a hockey puck for a patty. Def going back to the sandwiches.

The food was good. The service was really good. The only complaint I have is that we went on a cold night and was sat next to the door so we got cold food got cold pretty quick

If you’re in Colorado Springs and haven’t been to Rookies, you’re seriously missing out. This place has hands down the best wings in the Springs — and I don’t say that lightly. The real secret? Mixing the sauces. Don’t just pick one. Combine them trust me, it changes the game. Crispy, saucy, perfectly cooked every time.

Now let’s talk about the real MVP — Lilly. She is AMAZING. Not only is she super friendly and welcoming, but she actually knows the menu. If you’re stuck deciding, just ask her. Her drink recommendations are always on point, whether you want something refreshing, strong, sweet, or totally different. Same with the food — she’ll steer you right every time.

You can also tell the leadership is solid. Anmol runs the place professionally and keeps everything flowing smoothly. He’s respectful, attentive, and you can see that the team reflects that energy. The vibe is laid-back but still organized — which isn’t easy to pull off.

Great wings. Great drinks. Great service. Great management.

Nice place to grab a beer or drink. Food is not the best and not the worst. Prices are a little high for the area. I do not like being charged a credit card fee.

Let's start with the good. The atmosphere was nice, clean bathroom, and the music wasnt so loud you couldn't have a conversation.

The negatives far outweigh the positives though and we wont be back. First off, their slopper is more like a salad, in fact the waitress didnt know what she had put down and took the food back to the kitchen when we asked if it was the slopper. More like a salad sitting in juice. I ordered the buffalo grilled cheese. It came with 2 slices of grilled cheese, one on the bottom one on the top. The waitress never offered to refill drinks and its not like they were busy. There were six other tables while we were there and 3 servers on. Please note in the picture we took the tortilla wrapped hamburger patty out to show how much liquid was on the bottom.

We had Adam as a server, he was knowledgeable, kind and professional. The food was excellent, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was fun. I’d highly recommend coming to Rookies.

Its getting passed around beware of prices

We were seated without a menu, server never came to take our order for drinks. We sat there for about 30 minutes until I had to get up to ask if anybody was working. Was told our server would be right over, waited once again another 15 minutes. We finally got up to leave and the hostess actually told us thank you and come back again.
FYI... we were there on a weekday around 3:00 p.m. and it wasn't even busy .
