Resort food that actually tastes good, and inspired cocktails from people that actually seem to care about how good of a job they do!

The best place to eat at Copper. I had the French Dip with fries. The roast beef was piled high atop a toasted hoagie roll. Fries were piping hot.. The aujus very tasty too!
Such big portions., you will not leave hungry!

Prices are reasonable for a mountain town and the food is delicious. We shared 1/2 order of Tavern Nachos and Standard Beef burger/ waffle fries. The tavern nachos were the star. Lots of pork and guacamole. The hamburger was cooked exactly as I ordered it, and the waffle fries put Chic Fil A to shame.

After many trips to Copper Mountain, we finally made it to JJ's Rocky Mountain Tavern, and I'm sad it took so long. We have always stayed in the west village and the fact that JJ's is in the east village always made it sound like too much effort to get to. But we finally took a ride on the Copper shuttle system and found it to be easy to use and dropped us right at the back door to JJ's. We made a reservation for our group of eight and arrived to find our table waiting.

I had the standard chicken sandwich ($16.95) topped with your choice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on a baked roll. This typically comes with seasoned waffle fries, but I opted to substitute for the onion rings, which were a great choice, though the waffle fries are also good. The chicken sandwich was good, nothing too crazy. Next time I would probably try one of their other options like the New Mexican version with cheddar, cotija, green chiles, and ancho chipotle sauce. Also worth ordering are JJ's Drumsticks which are huge! The draft beer list is solid and has something for everyone. We will definitely be back to JJ's in the future.

Been going here for years with Copper. Giant sitdown bar section if you're running laps solo or ample outdoor and indoor sitting for groups. Staff has always been super nice and friendly. Food options are some of the more reasonable on the mountain and balance the price/quality ratio well for resort food. This joint is one of the things I look forward to on the slopes.

At the base of black terrain - not busy at peak time on spring break. Good service: timely, friendly, gave us space, ordering was easy and came out right for four adults and four kids, sat at the outdoor patio. Open seating. Watched traffic come down to the base of copper mountain after tubing and before going to the mountain coaster. The trams were a little tricky but drivers were friendly and parking was free at alpha lot.
