The restaurant was very nice and had a peaceful setting. The table service was wonderful, our waitress was very nice and attentive. My complaint is with the food quality. We ordered the lamb chop and the elk medallions. Both were rather tough (prepared medium rare from chef's suggestion) and lacked robust flavor. I will say that the truffle tots were absolutely delicious and my favorite part of dinner.
We had a great experience at Tavern West. The food was excellent, the service was attentive but not bothersome, and the place is cozy but not cramped. We can't wait to go back!
The food and service are phenomenal. The dishes are well thought out, a mix of comfort food with a modern twist. The servers are attentive and very knowledgeable about all the dishes. We eat at Tavern West every time we are in the area.
