No longer the Uptown… now the Eclectic with many favorites gone and hardly ANY Vegan. And no full disclosure that all their fried offerings are “super yummy because they are fried in beef tallow.” (Our wait staff mentioned this only in passing.) BEEF FAT! LARD! That bit of info certainly limited my and my friends menu choices, and should not be a secret, but be posted at the top of the menu for those whose diets don’t allow meat fats. I feel betrayed that I once had Calamai at the Silverthorne location. I’d suggest a healthy alternative oil alternative as well, as disclosure will loose, not win, fans.

I worked in restaurants for over 8 years in summit county, one of which has similar pricing for food and drinks. My goal of this review to to provide some feedback for the restaurant to hopefully improve on their product and service.
Arrived at 6:30 on a busy night. It was over 25 minutes before a server came by to take a drink order. Drinks took over 15 minutes to be delivered to the table. By this time my beer had started to get warm, and my friends soup even arrived before drinks were delivered to the table.
The server seemed very rushed, and did not seem very knowledgable about the menu items. She was unable to tell us how the elk medallions (a $60 dish) were prepared. She said that they probably put salt and pepper on both sides, but said she would have to ask the kitchen regarding how they prepared the item. We had maybe 5 minutes of interaction with the server over the course of 2+ hours at the table
The appetizers that came out had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. They were warm, not hot, and the sauce on the plates had started to get dry and crusty. When dinner was delivered, they forgot to bring 1 of the dishes. My girlfriend ordered a burger, which she ordered medium and came out well done. The veggies and mashed potatoes that came with my pork chop were very bland, and had no flavor. They needed more seasoning. The pork chop was not tender, more tough and firm.
The 4 of us had 5 drinks, 2 appetizers, and each had a dinner. The bill was just over $200 dollars, after they discounted the pork chop 50% for being forgotten about. The whole dining experience took about 2 hours and 45 minutes. I understand it was very busy, but I have never had a dining experience take this long.
Some advice for this business:
Simplify your menu and put more effort into your side dishes.
Hire more servers, food runners, and bartenders. While it was cute that your very young daughter was bringing water to tables, more service staff would help you deal with that amount of customer volume. Educate your staff on food items.
Spread out when you seat large parties to avoid large backups in your kitchen and gaps in service between tables.
I probably will not return, I have been to much better restaurants in the county with better food, service, and better experiences with similar prices.

Food was delicious and the service was even better. Steven did an incredible job and took great care of us. Even near closing time on Christmas Day he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. Would highly recommend this fine establishment. Make sure you ask for Steven.

Almost three hours here and we only got appetizers. Tables that arrived 45 minutes after us were served full meals in 10 minutes while we sat ignored.
The manager claimed they were “busy,” which was laughable — the restaurant was barely occupied. No explanation, no fix, no urgency.
They didn’t just waste our money — they wasted our entire night. Completely unacceptable.
For several years, we've stopped here for the best dishes. December, 2025 they became Eclectic Kitchen & Bar.
Before the pizza was phenomenal; now the pizza is tasteless and bland- not worth the $34 it cost. I ate a half a piece; my son ate one piece, and we tossed the rest.
The BBQ nachos were a disappointment; they tried to copy cool ranch Doritos and then added disappointing BBQ pork. Very forgettable.
My son's burger was ordered as medium and was delivered very well done with no hint of pink.
They eliminated the absolutely fantastic Shepherd's Pot Pie.
I overheard other guests complaining, as well.
I don't have a problem spending $170 for 3 if the food is good. This would have been appropriately priced at about $70.
Unfortunately, after going there for several years, we won't be back.

Now taken over by eclectic, prices shot up service was slow. 35$ for 8 slices of pizza? Saw a cocktail for $28 (the bottle of bourbon is 30-50)
Super over priced, happy hour only knocks 1-2$ off some items.
Doubtful will return to this once great place.

This place is an absolute disgrace. The staff tried to scam us by adding a fake charge to the receipt, which they later claimed was ‘tips’ they decided to include without asking. Tips are supposed to be voluntary — not forced. Their attitude was rude, dishonest, and completely unacceptable. They ruined our evening. Avoid this place at all costs.

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening and ordered food for four people. The dishes were tasty, but the portion sizes did not match the high prices — overall, it felt quite expensive for what we got.
What disappointed us the most was their tipping policy. If there are four or more people at the table, they automatically add about 20% gratuity to the bill without informing you. We were planning to leave a normal tip ourselves, but when we checked the bill, we realized they had already added a tip that they decided on their own, and we almost ended up tipping twice.
To be honest, this really ruined the final impression of our visit. Tips should come from the guests’ choice, not be imposed by the restaurant.
Make sure to double-check your bill!

Me and my friends wanted a nice diner and this is the place we found. Paxton was an amazing server, the service was amazing and Paxton just made the experience so much better, he honestly deserves a raise!!!!
The food was great and so was the atmosphere.
2025 - Happy Hour is 3:30-5:30. Some of our group ate from the HH menu and others from the regular menu. Comments:
HH items:
Brussel Sprouts were good and crispy and plenty to share.
Steak Sliders were great. Like mini Philly cheese. Healthy helping of steak.
Street Taco was a good size with plenty of fillilng.
Oysters were good, but tiny. Needed crackers and horseradish.
Southwest Egg Roll was just okay. Not as flavorful as it looked.
Menu items.
French Onion Soup was large and good.
Hamburger was huge and tasty.
Rice Bowl was large with lots of veggies.
Falafel was a disappointment. The balls were well seasoned, but they were gooey inside. A few of us tried them and we still left one uneaten.
2022. - Great variety and delicious food.
I dropped them a star because they are very short handed and service is very slow. We have had better service here in the past.
The Happy Hour is a bit confusing. The HH beer prices refer to categories, but there is no way to know what beer is on what category. The website mentions $3 off wine but that isn't reflected on the menu.
The Bourbon Bison Meatloaf was terrific. The meatloaf itself was good but the sauce on top really made it.
The Turkey Potpie was big and very good. The Salmon Wrap had great ingredients, but the salmon could have used more flavor. The Chicken Olivia had a great presentation but was just good.

Honestly just trying to help out the business. The steak mashed potatoes and asparagus seemed good at the time and all seemed well until I got home. My stomach has been in a ton of pain. And I am not much to write reviews and a little tummy ache here and there doesn’t bother me but I don’t know how the meal was cooked but I have been having issues 2 hours after I ate there and this was my only meal of the day . I couldn’t just let this slide. Otherwise service was amazing between the gentlemen and the lady in the front.

Surprisingly tasty options cooked to perfection. My l we ordered a meal on the patio and the view in fall is to die for. The inside of the restaurant is also pretty.
My burger was cooked perfectly and they have those good battered fries. 👌
If you're in Frisco, or just biking through, well worth your time.
