Mikes Chicken/BBQ is our absolute favorite! We first had their food truck at a festival in 2017 and have followed them around ever since! The hot mess is an addiction, their fried chicken is absolutely amazing and you have to have their homemade sweet bbq sauce! We always buy some to-go just to have some on hand at home, it’s the best Carolina style sauce we’ve found in Colorado!

Went in to get a lunch before playing frisbee golf. They had a great menu option for bbq options. The second you walk in you feel at home. I got the chicken chips with the poppy’s fries and OMG WAS IT GOOD. Plus FREE REFILLS.

My partner and I we disappointed by $15 chicken sandwiches: nice batter, fresh garnish, but very thin and tough meat, about a quarter of a breast of chicken pounded out. The pickles were really delicious, but overall a poor value.

Got some wings about a month ago at the Rimrock Walmart parking lot and I have to say that they were the most awful wings I’ve ever had, way over cooked and no flavor at all and the fries were disgusting! Didn’t even eat the fries, had to throw them away

The Hot Mess is fabulous. Coleslaw was perfection. Corn Bread 🍞 was moist and delicious. Fried chicken 🍗 was the bomb. Awesome service and great prices. A must if you are in the area. Ice Cream 🍨 too and support local. ❤️❤️❤️

Top this folks. This year we asked the Big Mike's family to cater a large event. This was the best idea we have had in a long time. They fed 450 people in under an hour and there were ZERO complaints! Not one of the 450 people were disappointed in the quality of the food or the service Big Mike provided. They even covered the vegetarians at the event with smoked Beyond Burgers! We could not have been happier with the food! It was amazing.

I have eaten there twice. The ribs were delicious as were the sides. The prices are very reasonable and the service is fast! The best dining experience I have had in Fruita to date.

Not good bar b que at all. We had it from the food truck at the Grand Junction farmer's market yesterday. The pork had no taste and was mushy. Mushy, tasteless bar b que... I know, gross. I was expecting some slight smoke flavor or something. The portion was really small too for $15.The lady taking orders promised it would be the best bar b que we have ever had and then she mentioned that she takes tips...The fries were good. Thin cut, and crispy which is why I added the star.
