Wow!!! Just wow!!! So glad we chose this restaurant. We came in towards the late side and never felt rushed. Such a welcoming team! The suggestions from our waiter were spot on. My boyfriend grills an amazing steak but this one with its amazing homemade chimichurri sauce, was and I quote “The best restaurant steak we’ve ever had!” Not enough can be said for the scrumptious homemade dessert that we finished up with. Worth a stop here to try everything on the menu. Looking forward to the gumbo and pork loin for our next visit! Thank you for making us feel so Welcome Chef Montoya and crew :-)

Delicious breakfast! Eggs and potatoes were perfectly done and not over salted. I was too full to eat my biscuit so I had it well toasted for a bedtime snack. It was awesome, slightly sweet with great texture when sliced and toasted DARK!

The food was the best we have eaten in a long time. I had the ravioli, my husband had the salmon chili relleno. Both were exceptional. The staff were friendly and lovely. The atmosphere could use some work to match the quality of the food. Please go and support this small restaurant!

Outstanding food and an excellent dining experience! The chef personally came to our table to share his background and walk us through the dishes we’d be enjoying, which made the meal even more memorable. If you’re in Fruita, Camilla’s is a must-visit!

One of the best meals that we have had in a long time. Chef created and prepared cuisine, using high quality and locally sourced ingredients. You can tell that Chef James is truly passionate about the food that he serves. We went for dinner and tried the local melon and feta salad, tuna poke appetizer, sirloin steak, tiramisu. All were incredible. Chef James also prepared an amuse bouche for us including buratta on a crostini with house made relish. I’m not kidding when I say that I could have eaten 10 of these.

Local wine and beer to complete the menu.

Truly a wonderful experience all around.

If you are local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping in.

Service was very slow, food was terrible, portions were very skimpy and very overpriced, nothing like the old camillas, I would not recommend to anyone!!!!

I want to like this place but since they can't do gluten free for people with celiac disease only two stars.

Owner wanted me to break laws and defy the health department, the building department, and fire codes to appease his ego. Knowing the liability to me, he insisted work be done in his restaurant without any consent from said government approval methods. Video and witness has him being confrontational towards me because he didn't get his way. He said I was ghosting him, blamed me and publicly criticized me for not going against established legal avenues. He continues to deny any level of guilt. And is not truthful. Narcissistic behavior neverending.

Way under staffed and didn't really let you know or really care. Food was good but not as good as the first time we were there. Need to make better potatoes.

🌟✨ This evening we stumbled upon a hidden gem that we almost walked past, but I’m so glad we didn’t! This restaurant truly blew us away with its incredible homemade dishes. We indulged in two scrumptious appetizers, followed by the most tender chicken Parmesan and steak I’ve ever tasted. And let’s not forget the heavenly desserts—tiramisu, cheesecake, and a special dessert that was only available that evening. Each bite was a delight! The highlight of our evening was meeting the chef, who took the time to share his culinary journey with us. His passion for food and hospitality made our experience even more memorable. This place serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I can assure you that every dish is crafted with love. With new ownership at the helm, they’re eager to welcome more guests to enjoy their extraordinary offerings. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by—your taste buds will thank you! Let’s support this wonderful restaurant and help them thrive because they truly deserve it! 🍽️❤️

Our dinners were delicious but over priced... Servings were small. Spent $132 on 2 dinners and I'm still hungry. We each also had 2 cocktails and they were pricey at $12 each. Their breakfast and lunch menu is much better.

This was our first time visiting Camilla’s since the new ownership and it was an exceptional experience! Food was delicious, service was above and beyond, and we will be back to try the dinner menu very soon! Chef was personable and obviously takes pride in his craft. Fruita is lucky to have them!
