I am not one to write a sour review. It was my first time visiting the Paradox Grille and Gateway Canyons Resort with my family on my birthday. Needless to say, it was not a positive experience. The menu was not as advertised on the website. Food took an hour to come out, despite us ordering everything at once with no preference on what came out first. Our drinks were empty and we had not seen a server in 20 minutes. The only positive experience is that we were seated at an outside table given that we had a toddler. The crab cakes were overcooked, the olives in the dirty martini were rotten and the service was slow. There was no toilet paper in the stalls in one of the women's stalls. When we went to leave, I had a gift certificate to pay and had to wait for over twenty minutes while they had to call tech support to sort it out. Meanwhile, my family was outside waiting. Happy Birthday to me.

We had such an amazing dinner at the Paradox Grill at Gateway Canyons Resort! The new menu is fantastic! My husbands steak was cooked perfectly and my salmon was absolutely delicious. Our server, Donald, was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The only regret we had was not saving enough room for dessert! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Gateway.

The food was more expensive than it was worth. I had the Dr. Pepper chicken which was served open faced which wasn't stated on the menu. $16.00 was way too expensive for the quality of the sandwich. It should state that it's open faced on the menu.

Celebrated my daughter's 13th bday here yesterday. It was amazing. Our waitress Felicia was attentive, friendly, and had great taste- recommending many things that ended up being spectacular. She went above and beyond to make my daughter feel special, and honestly, was one of the best servers we've ever had in any reataurant. The guava lemonade was a much needed cool-down from the 100+ degree temps outside, the Achiote ckn tacos were out of this world, and the crispy Brussels were to die for. The smoked brisket was dry and lacked flavor, but the salsa collection made up for it. We ended night with flourless choc cake and salted caramel ice cream to celebrate, and she packaged up what we didn't finish to enjoy later. Her attention to detail was spot on. We walked around the restaurant/hotel grounds, played yard games, sat in rocking chairs as the sunset lit up the Palisade mountain, and went back to our Yurt. Truly a wonderful experience and we'd go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Felicia and Paradox Grill for giving us a very special night. We appreciate you!

This was the only option. I wouldn't call it bad but it wasn't amazing. The tacos were bland. The burger my kid got was good. The elk sausage soup was good.
Stayed 2 nights and instead of walking from our Casita to this place we drove the hour to Grand Junction. Was worth the drive for another taco place.

Our sever was awesome. The food wasn't great. We were attacked by a spider. Some vacuuming of the light fixtures and corners is in order.
Parking: The parking is a bit of a walk from the grille due to the fact that it is inside a resort but the walk is pleasant.
