We were up in the Georgetown/Idaho Springs area for the weekend. We were trying to waste time before dinner, so we started looking around the little shops. Ended up in here and saw they served coffee and tea. Ordered a couple of teas, and asked the guy working there for some suggestions on what to do to waste time. He told us to stop by Alpine Restaurant because they have some pool tables and arcade games, and also to go up Guanella Pass to Clear Lake. Neither of them disappointed!...
End of the line is a cool souvenir shop in the mining town of George Town they have a lot of shirts, hoodies, and other souvenirs. They also have a counter where you can sit and get a home made milkshake made by and original soda j*** machine. Prices are a little high but that’s to be expected in this area
Absolutely a 'can't miss store' in Georgetown. Nestled near the literal end of the line of shops, you'll find a fully authentic 1901 soda fountian, and both Mike and Ryan will take care of you. Excellent shop for both Colorado gifts and knick-knacks, and be sure to look in the mirror for the semi-secret menu! Great service everytime, you won't leave disappointed.
