Please, save yourself the displeasure of eating here! We stopped in for dinner after a day with family in Georgetown. This is hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had! From the rude child running the host desk to the spine killer broken booth we were sitting at to the terrible service and the missing meal no one cared about to the bill being wrong and evidently fluid. Honestly, I've been in family restaurants where there was a young kid working, doing a great job of taking dishes or refilling water glasses. The problem here is that the kids seem to be the only real contact customers have and they're generally rude and unprofessional (kids!). We were directed to a table, and the bench for the booth was nothing but potholes. I was finally able to find a spot, but it was very much like sitting in the middle of the back seat in a car! We sat for at least 30 minutes before any acknowledgement. When our food finally came out, it basically came out one item at a time. The "waitress" didn't know what was what or who ordered what. We had to cut the calzones open and figure it out for ourselves. My son never got his food and the "waitress" said she'd go check with the kitchen, then avoided eye contact every time she came near us. Not once were we asked if we needed anything (drink refills, satisfaction with food). Finally, we were able to get the attention of the one adult that seemed to be in charge and asked him about the missing meal. He went back into the kitchen and after 15 or more minutes, comes back and says that the missing meal was delivered to the wrong table. That he put another in the oven and it would be comped. Mind you, we were all done eating by this point. After another wait, the bill is dropped off and the food that was supposed to be comped is still on there. This was pointed out, she took the ticket back and it was adjusted, still incorrectly. Being extremely ready to have this nightmare over, we just handed over payment. When the ticket came back for a signature, it was 10 dollars higher. The food (that we got) was just ok. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat!
Oh my gosh... The desserts!
They were kind but the calzone was just a flavorless block of cheese wrapped in pizza dough, 1 slice of mushroom, a sliver of green pepper and a Salt Bae pinch of sausage. No sauce on the inside of it, but instead on the side.
The food is amazing. The calzones are huge and delicious. Tastes like real Italian food. We got pizzas to go another day and they were amazing too. They taste like homemade. So good we even ate the crust! Definitely recommend!
The food is good. I like the atmosphere. The service was not that great. The waitress kept our cards for payment for more than 20 minutes. She's had them in her hand as she took orders it was very strange.

If the lady behind the would have had a better tone related to how busy they are, I could tell you if the food was good or not. With that said, it’s been years since I have been spoken to so rudely as a customer.

Terrible lunch. The fried green beans are frozen and tasteless. Wraps are bland and our gluten-free pizza came out burnt. Won’t be back here.

This place is completely awful in every regard. The food is below average (low quality, high prices, out many menu items). The service is practically nonexistent and our waitress was snarky, inattentive, and walked away from our table mid-order without any warning. While the place was practically empty, it took us over a hour to get our food. There were numerous tables that stayed “unbussed”, so it was rather unpleasant seeing the mess around us. The bathroom toilets were clogged and out of toilet paper. There were also children, who seemed too young to be there in the first place, working at the restaurant. Our waitress overbilled us, so getting the proper amount on the bill was a hassle. On our recent transaction history, the wrong amount is still shown. Days later, a $10 charge was added to my friends account. She did not sign off on this amount.

Honestly I’m not one to leave reviews but the food portions for the price is not up to par. 15$ for a small thing of Mac and cheese. Immediately made my stomach upset and I am not one to have an upset stomach after mac and cheese. Also this for the OWNER, for you to write mean comments back to the others that left reviews, your are nothing. Literally.

As a tourist, I recently dined at this restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. It was an absolute disaster from beginning to end. This place has so many problems that I’m surprised it’s still in business. The service was inexcusably bad. Our waiter, was inattentive and unprofessional. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we waited an unreasonably long time to get our orders taken, and even longer for our food to arrive. We arrived at 3:03 pm and received our food at 4:04 pm and left at 4:36 pm. I observed that the staff seemed inattentive to the cleanliness of the dining area. Many tables remained in the same state for an extended period, suggesting a lack of proper management or sufficient staffing. This unkempt environment detracted from what could have been a pleasant dining experience.
One of the main issues was that many of the items listed on the menu were unavailable. The image of the board shows all of the items that they were out of. Some things that are listed in online menu from their website are not actually available in house.
If you have any dietary restrictions, I do not recommend coming here. They do not have gluten free pizza crust. Additionally, they can not accommodate substituting anything on pizzas. They will charge you extra if you want to substitute and that ranges from $3 to $5 per topping. This is not advertised and they will not accommodate you even if you have dietary restrictions such as being a vegetarian.
The dishes we ordered were overwhelmingly greasy and lacked any real flavor or appeal. The pizza, as shown in the picture, was drowned in grease. The napkins to the right of the pizza soaked up the overwhelming amount of grease. The crust was soggy and weighed down by an excessive amount of grease. The toppings, rather than adding flavor, seemed to be swimming in oil. The cheese was heavy and congealed, contributing to the overall unappetizing appearance and texture. Each bite was a greasy, oily mess that left a lingering unpleasant taste. The calzone shown in the picture was a grease-laden disappointment that felt more like a chore to eat than a treat.
To top it all off, the restrooms were in a state of disrepair and lacked basic supplies like toilet paper, further highlighting the restaurant's overall neglect.
Another deeply disturbing element to this restaurant is the blatant use of child labor. The boy working appeared to be 10 years old. The use of child labor is not only unethical but also illegal in many places. The sight of this kid working instead of enjoying summer raised serious concerns about the management’s practices and priorities.
I cannot recommend The Alpine Restaurant to anyone seeking quality food or service. With unclean conditions, horrendous service, and terrible food makes this place a prime candidate for closure. I strongly advise against dining here—save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about its customers. There are plenty of other dining options in the area that offer a far superior experience.
Vegetarian options: There a few vegetarian options. It is very limited and if you want to alter the order they will not accommodate. If you are vegan or vegetarian well there are not really any protein options for you. The menu had no clear indications of allergens.
Dietary restrictions: If you are gluten free, I do not recommend eating here unless you want a mediocre salad. They are out of gluten free pizza crust and have very limited options. They also do not accomodate for any dietary restrictions. The menu had no clear indications of allergens.

Very disappointed. This place looked really good online, and we decided to stop by after a hike. We were a party of 7, and I was the only one who needed allergy/food accommodations.
I asked the young girl who was the waitress if they could make me just a few chicken breats for me as all I'm eating is meat. She looked at me with a blank stare and said, "I don't know." So I got up to go ask someone else. I found an older waitress and explained to her that I just wanted chicken. She said I could order a salad with chicken. I told her again I'm only eating meat. She then rudely says, "You can order just chicken breast with your waitress."
I go back to the table order from my waitress, chicken. She asks if I want a small or large bowl. I said large, expecting it to be a fair amount of chicken coming.
What came out was very upsetting. A single chicken breast, the size of a phone was brought out to me, and they had the audacity to charge $6 for it.
I thought they would have been more willing to accommodate since they had gluten-free options. But! They were out of the gluten-free options when I went this past Saturday.

OMG this was a bad experience. I wish i could say otherwise, but unfortunately that was just not the case.
They were one of the 2 places we found open on a weds night which is why we chose this location otherwise we were eye-ing coopers. Sadly they were closed on weds. so here we are
We had looked at online menu beforehand and thought it would be okay for us given the various needs in our group.
We started our experience with young boys hosting. They were cute and they did a good job. They obviously were taking their job seriously.
The ambiance was okay. It did not appear that busy in the restaurant but the lady upfront was having a fit in front of customers about how busy it was.
The young gal took our orders she did her best. Some things that are listed in online menu from their website are not actually available in house. Such as hummus. So if you are vegan, vegetarian well there are not really any protein options for you.
We were brought water but no one offered us any refills we had to go find a pitcher and fill our own glasses with refills.
Out of 6 people. only 1 got exactly what they ordered. For my personal order i had ordered a greek salad with the dressing on the side and also cheese on side with extra beans. They gave me like 10 beans....... I had told the girl i wanted to add the beans as a source of protein because they didn't have any hummus. She said no problem, but i would not call 10 beans much of anything.... why bother?? The dressing came out ON The salad and they did not put the olives on my salad which i was looking forward to.
Another gal had 2 things on her ticket that she did not order.
Another gal had ordered a salad with chicken. the waitress rang it wrong. Should not be a big deal but it turned into an ordeal. The waitress did not want to bring out a plate with just chopped chicken for the salad. She said she could not ring that up. okay well it was not my friends fault you rang it wrong or wrote it down wrong. This is a problem that should have been apologetically fixed. But instead we had to brainstorm ways for them to fix this so my friend could get the needed protein.
Another friend ordered a salad that needed spinach. We knew they were out but we thought they would replace it with the other kind of lettuce. They did not! Instead she paid $15 for a tiny bowl of lettuce. She had also asked for beans and got only 5 beans. She counted them. No dressing! And no other vegetables on her salad???! It was literally just a small bowl of lettuce. UGH!
Another gals salad got messed up as well and she got the wrong dressing.
One lucky person got their order correct.
For gluten free folks, the fries are not gluten free. They are coated with flour. Just so you know. With as many things were wrong on our order as a collective whole I would have a hard time trusting them with gluten free anything.......
It was so bad all we could do was laugh. Honestly i wanted to tip nothing. This was not a great experience. I did 10% for mine.
I will not be back to this restaurant well ever.

This place deserves to close its doors for good. The food is gas station quality or worse. We popped in with an open mind and good attitude and were rewarded with inedible artichoke dip that’s served with stale Doritos (????) and unfinished pizza. We kindly asked the dip to be removed from our bill and the cowardly manager refused because it had been “touched.” I ask you fellow consumers, how does one test the quality of food without….. eating it?
Avoid this place like the plague, the food safety here is below standard and the service barely exists.
*edit - as you can see by the response, the whoever owns this place is legitimately insane.

Shortly: tasty homemade.
Longer:
Didn't explore much on the inside, as with loud live music (totally subjective), we opted to eat outside. But kinda alpine-looking decor looked ok.
As many noted before, there are little helpers there, three boys. I have mixed feelings on that. On one hand, it's super cute until you realize it seems it's more of a job than help. I don't know enough to comment further, I've been in the place once. Child labor is banned for a reason, so I really, really hope this is purely occasional play.
Now to food. Don't come in expecting the best meal in your life, but it's very solid, homemade food. It's like visiting your family, the meal might not be at the restaurant level, but you end up very happy ;) We tried spaghetti meatballs with a side of Caesar's and gluten free pizza. We were very satisfied with both. The pizza is the standard GF one that's not the greatest but, again, solid - thin, kinda crispy, which I expected (not sure, but I suspect many places buy the same brand).
Overall, we were very happy and might come back if we are in the area.

We went to eat here and it was HOT in the building, there was 7 of us and we asked to eat outside, the 9 year old boy told us they can’t seat 7 outside, so we ask to eat at separate table to get some fresh air, the kid goes back and asks his dad in the kitchen and the lady cleaning the bar had a fat attitude saying NO ITS GOING TO RAIN THEY CAN NOT SIT OUTSIDE, we split and ate at Coopers. Good food there and air conditioning.
