Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

The worst of the Cafe Rio restaurants I have seen. They are always out of something at each visit. E very time we get fire grilled chicken, they are virtually out, but serve chicken scraps, scraping the container. I rather they just say they are out. We like Cafe Rio, but the quality here lacks. Maybe that is why the staff looks so gloomy and disinterested.

Update. After a break, we tried again. Both our salads were completely wrong. Staff was a bit clueless because staff had to redo many orders that were wrong. Line out the door due to staff making food a second time.

I grew up eating cafe rio so when I saw this place I had to have some again. I ordered online and asked for no cheese, because I can’t consume cheese and unfortunately it came with a tiny layer of cheese on the inside… also I asked for jalapenos on it and there was like 10 all at the end of the burrito. They also only gave me about 6 little strips of lettuce. Worst cafe rio experience I’ve ever had.

I love their food but this store needs better management, the staff is slow and rude and the food counter always looks like a bomb went off regardless of how busy the store is. My online order was 20 minutes late.The cashier guy told me they have to take care of the walk up line before preparing the online orders. Isn’t this the reason why people order online, to avoid the line?

Value of food is just not there. I’d rather eat chipotle for $12 than Cafe Rio for $20. :/

Chipotle and Qdoba are dead to me. The portions may be a bit smaller but the quality of protein is so worth it.

It has good food, and the atmosphere is not bad at all. But when you are ordering your food definitely watch the people and tell them exactly what you want or they will skimp out a lot on items they do not charge you for.

I have had Cafe Rio in 3 different states and I have to say this location is one of my favorites. I consistently have a good experience! Food is great, service is great! Would definitely recommend!

Have eaten at Café Rio for years and love their food. But the fact that they are charging $1.50 for a sprinkle of tortilla strips on top of your burrito is absolutely insane, not to mention was not disclosed that was an extra charge, for a queso burrito $19 at a chain restaurant come on now? ?
