The food here was so good! So flavorful! However, the service is terrible! The executive chef was great! He came out and served, had he not, I would have given a 0 for service!! The manager had a bad attitude and was very confrontational. The server barely came to the table we had to wait 30 minutes for straws after asking twice and she never checked on the table! Thank you to the chef that made everything better!

Our party of 4 sat for 55 minutes waiting for our lunch order to arrive. We were not given any warning of a potential delay with our order, we were in fact ignored. Drink orders were ignored, as well. None of the wait staff stopped by to ask how we were or if we needed more water. When the food finally arrived, it was incorrect and the snotty attitude of the wait staff made a member of our party feel uncomfortable and burdensome. There was no attempt to offset the long wait with added customer service. Hugo’s fell short in meeting our most basic expectations in providing a lunch at a “nice place” in Glenwood Springs. When we have to debate whether or not to leave a tip, (we left a smaller one) trust me, the service was sub standard and disappointing.

We had the Thanksgiving dinner there. The restaurant was half full but service was very slow. It took several asks and a long time to get our water. The prime rib was not in good quality. It was very chewy and had a lot of fats. In the end the bill was automatically applied a 20% tip. Very disappointed.

My parents flew in from out of town to spend Thanksgiving in Colorado. We went to Hugo’s and had a nice meal. The turkey dinner was reminiscent of my childhood. We definitely are grateful we didn’t have to cook!

I'm in town working, after a 12 hour shift I decided to treat myself to a great dinner. Waitress took my order and brought the check that's it. Busboy brought out my food and that's it no refill on my water, no how's everything taste? Nothing. There were only two other tables a 5 top and a two top, Calamari was really good I was surprised they didn't have cocktail sauce but, the marinara wasn't bad. Steak was good. I subbed the charred broccolini with mashed potatoes that were cold. I ate them anyway because I was starving and nobody ever checked on me so I couldn't say anything. I probably would have ordered dessert anyway. Pretty disappointing birthday dinner after a long day of work

Food is way overpriced. Literally Fridays or Chili's would be better but they charge as if they have a 5 star Chef in the kitchen. They have a tragically small wine collection and are trying to claim 5 star quality while they don't have the ability or skill to deliver. For reference I regular 5 star restaurants in Denver and Dallas, this place is just not on the level. No way they survive long with this business model. Try the restruant inside Hotel Colorado they are much better.

Hugo’s is hands down one of the best dining experiences around. The food is absolutely delicious, with every dish packed with flavor and prepared to perfection. The service is top-notch, and Braulio, in particular, delivers exceptional service every time. His attentiveness and professionalism truly enhance the experience.
The restaurant itself is spotless, including the restrooms, which reflects the care and attention to detail that Hugo’s prides itself on.
One of the highlights is their annual Thanksgiving dinner. Whether you choose the traditional turkey or opt for the prime rib, both options are prepared beautifully and have a comforting, home-cooked quality that makes you feel right at home.
If you’re looking for a place with great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Hugo’s is the spot!

Recently visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! They offer a diverse menu featuring homemade dishes with minimal use of spices, which makes the food light and natural in flavor. Every ingredient is fresh, and you can taste it in every bite. The interior is cozy and stylish, with great attention to detail, while the outdoor patio adds a charming touch—perfect for a meal in the open air. The service is outstanding: the staff is polite, attentive, and very accommodating. This place is definitely worth a visit if you're looking to enjoy quality food and a pleasant atmosphere!

Food was good. Had burrata and short ribs.
Fir the price, I expect a little more. Tablecloths. Bread before the meal.

Service was good. Atmosphere was nice for what it was. White linen and low slung chairs with arms/sides were nice, as well as fresh florals on the tables. Food was disappointing for the price. Short ribs $42 were nice and tender, but the gravy/ demi wasn't very flavorful for having been cooked so long. Truffle mashed potatoes were ok; no real need for the truffle to be there. Veggies (asparagus and baby carrots with tops) were hard to really taste as they were buried under the potatoes. Nothing was as hot as I would have liked. Arancini appetizer was delicious, but again overpriced. I would go back, but would hope for much better quality and better prices.

Stayed in downtown Glenwood Springs and found it tempting to eat only in the places within a few blocks—so glad we went to Hugo’s, which is not far from downtown but away from the main tourist drag, and well above the average fare in town. Satisfied my family of somewhat picky eaters…we even went back for brunch after a great dinner.
