Proof offering delicious vegan/gf food doesn't have to be complicated!
If you want authentic Mexican breakfast this is the place to go. The food was amazing and the server was so sweet and nice. Definitely recommend.

New owners have this place POPPIN, excellent coffee, deserts and the best huevos rancheros in town. Highly recommended!

Be prepared to wait. For, like, a while. Even if they're not busy. I waited a perplexing amount of time for a veggie sandwich that looks like a Starbucks reheated sammie, only smaller. Wish I'd paid Starbucks prices for that. On a different day I had the chicken tortilla soup, which was fresh & delicious, but it also was a decent wait despite being that day's special.

Cute & cozy place, but the staff wasn’t very friendly. She walked away sweeping when we were trying to order! Food was okay.. kinda disappointed since we are from over 24 hrs away!

I’ve come to Local several times because it’s one of the few restaurants downtown with a variety of options on its lunch menu. Some of the items I’ve ordered have been great (the spaghetti from their kid’s menu is surprisingly good). The staff is also very friendly, and I don’t blame the negative experiences I’ve had on the nice girls who work up front. The problems are threefold: the food is hit or miss (menu is massive which means a lot of variability in quality and probably a lot to keep track of for chefs), the prices are too high for the quality (today I paid 56 dollars for a sandwich, a drink, and some enchiladas that tasted fine but weren’t great either), and the service is SO SLOW. One time a few months ago, I waited an hour for my food. The waitress was apologetic so I figured it was a fluke. Today I went back and it once again took an hour to even get my meal (again, a sandwich and a few enchiladas). Unfortunately though I’ve wanted to give this place my service, I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.
