We had a great dining experience at Riviera Supper Club. The food, service, and ambiance all exceeded expectations.

Multiple reviews outside of Google maps suggested that Riviera supper club was the best date night restaurant in Gleenwood springs so seeing as I had a date planned for the evening I decided to make a reservation for that evening. I suppose during peak season it is highly suggested to make a reservation. The process is easy online but l, making them day of made me a bit nervous since they do not open until later in the day to confirm my reservations. For my date Id ordered a floral arrangement and the restaurant was more than happy to accommodate by having the arrangement on the table prior to our arrival. Another reason I picked this restaurant was because reviews suggested they had a great wine selection and although it was not a huge selection the selections we made were good and paired well with our dishes. The mushrooms were a great starter and very flavorful. I went with a lighter dish opting for the salmon with the steamed veggies and salad. It all tasted great but wasnt spectacular. I feel it was envious of my dates order. Her dish definitely looked more appetizing (unpictured) the farmers market pasta with the filet mignon. I had a few bites and it was amazing! Service was great but definitely not fast paced. More laid back but still attentive. Maybe could have had another glass of wine with a bit quicker service, but I drink fast. I appreciate the Restaurant making a first date one to remember and accommodating my floral arrangement. My date loved them and it was the first thing she noticed walking to the table. A great place for a date night or any other occasion while out in Gleenwood.

Everything here was worthy of rave reviews! Terrific service, loved the atmosphere, we sat outside and people watched while we enjoyed the beautiful evening and fabulous fare. Don't miss the roast garlic appetizer and the stroganoff was next level. The scratch lasagna with housemade sausage was spectacular! We will be back!

We visited this restaurant while on vacation and were extremely let down. The beef stroganoff was bland with tough, nearly inedible meat. Worse than the food was the service. We were told they couldn’t seat our party of 7 because they’re a “scratch kitchen” and it would overwhelm the chef—yet just minutes later, they sat a larger (white) group and pushed tables together for them, something they refused to do for us. The reservation system never mentioned any party size restrictions, and the staff made no effort to accommodate us. On top of it all, we got no water refills. Sadly, this place seems to care more about appearances than actual hospitality. Prices do not match quality of food and service.

Been there several times. The food has always been fantastic. The service was so bad on 07/30/2025, I doubt we will go back

We never got to try the food — but we certainly got a taste of the hospitality.

We arrived at Riviera Supper Club hoping for a great meal based on all the positive reviews, only to be met with a cold shoulder and a chaotic front-of-house experience that left us feeling more like a nuisance than a guest.

When we walked in, we were promptly (and brusquely) asked whether we had a reservation. We didn’t — we were just passing through from Utah and hadn’t realized this place required one. The party in front of us hadn’t either. The hostess told both of us she’d “have to check with the chef” before deciding if we could be seated.

While we waited, we couldn’t help but notice at least ten open tables inside. Were they all reserved for a rush of guests arriving simultaneously later in the night? If so, it was a ghostly quiet buildup.

As we stood there, my partner was warned to “watch himself” because the bartender was restocking the service bar — which is inconveniently located right next to the entrance and the hostess stand. A server trying to carry food through the same tight space nearly ran into us. It was a mess, and even the server knew it and apologized. Not exactly a welcoming or well-planned entrance flow.

Eventually, the hostess returned with the chef’s answer: no table for us — not for another 90 minutes. I asked if we could just sit at the bar instead. Her response? No food at the bar. Drinks only.

We decided to grab a drink anyway (regrettably). My lavender lemonade was more water than lemonade. My partner ordered a vodka martini — not hard to execute — and it was fine. The bartender was kind but clearly flustered, though again, the room was mostly empty.

While we sipped, we watched other bar guests — who had arrived after us — get served food. We paid and left.

Here’s the thing: dining out is more than just food. It’s about feeling welcome. It’s about hospitality. People work hard for their money and choose carefully where to spend it. Based on other reviews, the food might be great. But we’ll never know. Riviera Supper Club made it abundantly clear they weren’t interested in our business that night.

if you’re in the hospitality industry but can’t be bothered to extend even basic courtesy to guests, maybe it’s time to rethink whether or not the industry is for you.

This historic location has been a part of our hearts since my husband’s 40th birthday seven years ago. I am a proud local of the Roaring Fork Valley. I am a proud American Christian. The large Trans Flag waving in front of it the last two years has made me feel unwelcome. Only trans supporters are welcome here. I’ll come back when the flag is replaced with a Colorado flag. At least I won’t feel isolated.

A lovely patio with very attentive service. For me the chef’s special seared ahi hit a home run. Two sauces. One citrus based. Spicy rice balls accompanied the dish with a bit of dressed greens. My table started with roasted garlic bulbs with perfect add ins like Cambolzola cheese, roasted tomatoes, basil.
This restaurant is terrific.

Great location. We went on a week night, 6:00 pm, tons of tables free but the hostess, Kimber, wasn’t very friendly and just said to come back at 8:00. Never offered the bar seating that was nearly empty. She frequently turned people away, strange. We sat at the bar at 7:00 and Sonja the bartender, was excellent. Great food!!
