We celebrated my daughter's 13th birthday here with my sisters, and Babes Tea Room was absolutely perfect. From the moment we walked in, the vibe and ambiance were soooo cute—charming, cozy, and ideal for a special celebration. The food and pastries were delicious, beautifully presented, and felt like such a treat. The tea selection was amazing with so many great options to choose from—there was truly something for everyone. Everything from the service to the overall experience was wonderful. Highly recommend for birthdays, girls' days, or anytime you want a fun and memorable tea experience. We'll definitely be back! ☕🫖✨
Don't miss this experience in Golden! My adult daughter and I went for a special girls date. We planned on just having tea but couldn't resist the beautiful afternoon tea sampler. It was beautifully displayed and was more than enough food for lunch. We appreciated the thoughtfully curated tea collection and the fact that we could try as many as we desired. Top notch activity in Golden!
Tea selection was superb and served promptly & attractively. Customer service was great! Ambience was mediocre- hard bench seating, temperature slightly cold, tables very close together, a bit too noisy. Food was overall average - sandwiches were good; biscuits & scones dry; sweets pretty, pre-packaged & flavorless. The sugar cookie was good. Tearoom is next door to a bakery, so I expected more freshness & flavor. $60 price was not a good value.
This is a repeat visit. I usually rave about this location, but this visit was so disappointing. Really atrocious service and slow and lackluster food. In its current state, could not recommend
Nice location near a stream. The server was friendly and attentive. The food and ambiance were good. Guests can have a full tea or order from the menu. The tea selection and quality were impressive.
Very nice experience. Would go again. We went to celebrate a friends 50th birthday and it was a great place to celebrate. Gave it a 4 Star instead of 5 because of our seating. We were seated at a very low table and the swivel chairs were hard to get in and out of and hard to get close up to the table to eat/drink. Also had to pay for parking. Would be nice to validate for customers.
Wish there were fancy tea cups and some real flowers but overall Bebe's was a great experience for a mother daughter outing.
It has been better at babes. They seem like they were short staffed. The food was so so the value for the price absolutely not.
I thought everything was delicious, except for the curry chicken sandwiches, which were on small buns that was cold and hard.
We ordered off the menu-did not have High Tea. Food was great and my Blackberry Margarita was amazing!

Wait staff very attentive. Setting is lovely. Honey on table was cold so it took far too long to dispense. Clear glass tea pots are sweet but tea turns luke warm quickly. Wooden bench seating is horribly uncomfortable.
I had good expectations for this place. But the service was very slow and the food wasn't great. We sat for over 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table to take our tea order, and there really weren't many people there. When the food came out it was just okay. The sandwiches were somewhat stale and the fillings tasted like something you'd get from the prepared foods section at the grocery store. The shortbread cookies and the macarons were decent, but there were some other chocolate peppermint cookie things that just tasted odd. The honey on the table was crystallized and unusable and the waitress didn't refill the waters. The tea itself was good. Overall, at $60/ person it was not a good value at all and we all agreed we would probably not go back.
Great high teas with the ladies. Food actually tastes better than Brown Palace. Parking was relatively easy (street parking), ambiance was great, collection of teas were tremendous (more than Brown Palace). Definitely will come back. (I'm using my husband's opentable acct for context).
Cute place but the service was not great. It was a little busy but it took 10 minutes to be acknowledged at the front check in, and about 15 minutes at our table before the server came around. Once served, she never checked back to see if we needed more tea, and when she did at the very end, she walked off to help someone else and forgot to bring it back to us. While she was sweet and apologetic, we ended up taking the tea to go. It was just didssapointing overall for the cost.
THis is such a unique and wonderful experience! Great for guests; great as a quiet place to treat yourself to sometimething specifal. The food is delicious. Different, finally spied, sometimes delicate--a feast of flavors. This is my favoirte place to go out!
