Cast Iron Tavern is truly our go to place. The food is always excellent, the service is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay a little longer. Every visit is consistently amazing, which is why we keep coming back again and again.
Pretty hit or miss. Food is solid, but nothing will ever blow you out of the water. Good set up with TV's and atmosphere. Service is never great. Last time we went we had an extremely long wait for food and our server just avoided us instead of updating us on how much longer, checking for refills, etc. After 30+ minutes we got an overcooked burger and salmon risotto with very little risotto (I had to pick up the salmon to find the risotto). I asked for more risotto and...
The Mac and cheese is good, but needs a bit more flavor. Probably better as a meal with meat and other toppings. The cheese curds were good, but because of the size of the individual curds being so tiny, you end up eating a lot more of the coating and oil than cheese. Made me sick. The burger was also solid and pretty hefty. I could only eat half. I’d give it a 4.25. Wish Google was more flexible with this rating system.
