I was really looking forward to brunch at this downtown spot, but unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. I walked in and sat at the counter, where two waitresses were chatting and completely ignored me. I waited patiently for several minutes before one finally acknowledged me, saying she’d be right with me. Another five minutes passed, and I had to ask for a menu as she walked by—completely ridiculous.
What really bothered me was seeing other customers seated after me being helped right away, including a couple and a single gentleman on either side of me. I was polite, well-presented, and cordial throughout, so it’s hard not to feel like the delay was intentional.
When my meal finally arrived—corned beef and poached eggs—it was actually quite tasty, until I bit into an eggshell that nearly made me gag. My water was filled, but not a third time, in which other waters were filled either side of me. This added to the overall lack of attention.
I don’t know what the issue was, but I definitely didn’t feel welcomed or taken care of, and that’s not something I can overlook. Really disappointed with the service here.
Don’t order breakfast burrito as it is not smothered. They barely cover it with green chili. The manager charged me $4.25 for a side of green chili, as the burrito was almost dry. and then told me the burritos don’t come smothered, just covered In green chili (barely) The menu description says SMOTHERED. The other items we ordered were also not up to par. The Dude was super short on hash browns and was freaking swimming in green chili. Unbalanced at best.
Also got denied eggs Benedict because we ordered them @5 after 12. Hard stop apparently at 12 for Benedict.
Try Danny Rays on Colefax. Better service and food.
Great food, love the sausage gravy. Good vibes as well. Nice staff
We love this place! We’ll be back every time we’re in town! The Colorado Loco Moco is Amazing!!
Great food in a great atmosphere. Definitely worth the stop.
Wonderful Patty Melt and yummy fries. Great service too!
It's fine, but that's about it.
Excellent food, service and value!
The donut holes (with strawberry & vanilla dip) were bite-sized joy grenades. The Reuben? Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Pancakes were fluffy enough to double as pillows, and the hash browns had the crispiness of a golden sunset.
Friendly staff, cozy vibes, and food that made me question every past breakfast decision. I’ll be back… probably tomorrow
Great spot for dinner grub, conveniently located in downtown Golden. I highly recommend the Mountain Man Burrito, don't forget to add avocado.
Kid-friendliness: Great spot for young and old alike.

This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots to visit after a hike in and around Golden. My fiancée even said she’d buy their green chile if they sold it!

I stopped in for breakfast early this morning, and I'm glad I did! Had planned on trying Denver Biscuit Company, but since they weren't open yet I looked around and found the Golden Diner. I got the diner plate, which had two eggs over medium, bacon, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy - my typical litmus test for a first visit. I also tried a piece of their brisket sausage, which was peppery and tasty. The bacon was extra crispy, just how I like it! Eggs were just a touch overdone but still delicious, and the hash browns were perfection - crispy and brown on the edges and nice and tender in the middle. I don't know exactly what they do with their biscuits and gravy, but they do it very well! Biscuits were fresh - soft not stale, and that gravy... Mmmmm-Hhmmmm! 🤌 *chef's kiss* I'll be back!!!
