I entered this place with expectations it would be similar to the Littleton location. Boy, was I wrong! The Littleton location doesn't lack service from beginning to end. This place was a disappointment and we didn't even try the food! Upon walking in the door, there was a horrible, pungent smell - perhaps sewage leak (?). The host greeted us promptly but once we were seated, that was the end of it. No acknowledgment for 15+ minutes, so we left. No offer of water or any beverage, no sharing the specials... N-O-T-H-I-N-G! That said, I'll never bat an eye at this Okinawa again, ever! It's too bad the name is shared with the Littleton location that kicks a**! Time for a management review if you ask me. Also, I understand being short-staffed; especially in lieu of covid. Regardless, let your customers know the wait - at the very least, communicate with your patrons.

My husband and I had just arrived in Golden, were ambling down Washington Street, Historic Golden’s main drag, and stumbled into what turned out to be a great sushi joint: Okinawa– for a bang-up lunch of truly fine sushi, sashimi, seaweed salad, & sake! EVERYTHING looks 100% better after a meal like that!

Service was great, everything we ordered was delicious. My husband particularly liked the Churashi Sushi plate. It was beautifully presented. Decor was very nice too. Excellent place for a business lunch or date night.

I am stunned that this place is not rated much higher. I love this place. I live in the northwest part of Denver and prefer this place over any of the super highly rated places in Denver. The food is exceptional and the service is amazing.

I wouldn't have expected to find such amazing sushi in Golden, CO. My favorite is the Shrek Roll, but we haven't had anything we didn't like yet, and their presentation is beautiful.
