The restaurant is amazing. 10/10 recommend the chicken curry.

Absolutely amazing food and we loved the Sherpa options for beer as well! We will definitely be back to enjoy some more Saag, Samosas, Naan, etc….

What a beautiful ambiance and decor. Really good service and most importantly, the best Nepali food and one of the most excellent South asian food in the US I've ever had. Everything was beyond flavorful. The chowmein in particular knocked my socks off. Cannot recommend them enough. Totally and completely worth the price. Do brave the ala carte menu.

I had a fantastic experience at this Nepali restaurant. The ambience was warm and welcoming, striking the perfect balance between traditional charm and modern comfort.
What stood out even more was the exceptional service—the staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culture and cuisine.
As for the food—absolutely excellent! Every dish tasted fresh, well-prepared, and authentically Nepali. From the perfectly spiced momo to the rich flavors of the dal bhat, everything was cooked to perfection.
If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Nepal with a wonderful atmosphere and top-notch service, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is like a garden! Well designed, and so pleasant to dine in at the back yard underneath the berry tree!
Buffet lunch tastes so good, and is such a great deal.
Now we know where to go for food when we come to Golden again.

I am a big fan of Indian and Nepalese food and I was eager to try the Sherpa House when I heard about it. Myself and a friend had made plans to visit the Colorado Railroad Museum in the morning and top off our visit to Golden with lunch at the Sherpa House. We were not disappointed.

Arriving at the restaurant in separate cars we both found parking easily. You have to smile at the gorgeous landscaping and what I believe to be authentic decor throughout the grounds.

We were seated immediately and enjoyed eating outdoors on their patio surrounded by a waterfall and Tibetan prayer flags flapping gently on a beautiful day. They call themselves a restaurant and Cultural Center with good reason. There are plenty of small signs explaining the many exotic items they have.

We both had the lunch buffet. It had a nice selection of offerings. We started with a bowl of Lamb Stew that set our tastebuds up for the other dishes we sampled - all good.

We were not rushed in any way and enjoyed good service. To top off our visit we made a stop at their gift shop which had a nice variety of Asian garments, incense and other items.

If you are looking for something different from standard burger menus and American fare this is the place to be.

I always love it, ever since it opened. The flavors are wonderful, the atmosphere authentic and warm.

They recently added a dedicated bar, and a gift shop!

Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian dishes often with some good hotness / spice to them, but not many protein options. Maybe chick peas, but no tofu.

Dietary restrictions: Some dairy free options

Parking: Multiple prayer wheels to spin, outside and in. Beautiful garden patio dining in summer.

Kid-friendliness: Always cheerful and noisy. We've taken toddlers there multiple times. They have some nice padded corner bench tables where you can kind of lock the kids in and they can bump around and play and draw if you'd like. Decent kids menu with non-spicy options available!
