Our wedding at The Rose was the best night of our lives! The whole team simply rocks. From the kitchen staff to the bartenders, to the service team, and of course to Patricia, our coordinator, they all made our night amazing.
We went with the BBQ buffet for our dinner, and it was so good that many of our guests went back to Buffalo Rose for lunch the very next day. The bartenders were lightning fast, super kind, and kept the drinks flowing all night without a line. The service team was fantastic as well, constantly checking in on my wife and me, as well as all of our guests, making everyone feel cared for. The entire team was so warm and welcoming.
The space itself is awesome, full of history and character. Definitely take advantage of the cool upstairs bar! We have received so many compliments on how fun and unique the venue was. While we added in some decor to make it feel like us, you really do not need any!
And the best part: Patricia! From the moment we toured The Rose, she made choosing the Rose as our venue a no brainer. The first time we met her, she impressed us with her organization and thoughtfulness. That gave us the confidence that the planning process would be a breeze, and it absolutely lived up to those expectations. Working with Patricia was truly a blessing, and we are so grateful for her and everyone at The Rose!

Saw a concert there. It's a very nice venue, well done inside. Plenty of room to roam, hang out at your table or dance the night away. Acoustics aren't great, it's very noisy, even before the band started. Typical of a place for events, but not great for conversations. Service was very good. The drink and food menu is basic, but gets the job done. I'd come back for another show!

We hosted our rehearsal social event at the Buffalo Rose for our son & daughter in law. The wedding was a “Destination Wedding” for most of our guests as we don’t live in Colorado so we ended up with 78 guests at our event. We had heavy appetizers & drinks for our guests and the food was amazing! The food was constantly replenished all night long. The service was also outstanding too & very attentive. The guests were complimenting the three outstanding servers we had for the night. We could not have asked for a better evening!! We included the outdoor patio with the room which was very nice so guests could mingle inside & out. We had nothing but compliments about the venue all night long!! Great venue for a wedding. I love the upstairs with a view overlooking the dance floor although for us it was not open. The bathroom is extremely small and the only spot to wait inside is behind the door which I do not suggest. I didn't look at the others hopefully they are better. The staff was very nice and kept the tables cleaned up. The food was fantastic.

Buffalo Rose, Strong menu, plenty of choices, including for my Gluten Free wife. Food was very fresh, margarita was ok, not outstanding. Ambience was great, open patio and comfortable indoors as well. Service was very professional, offered alternatives that the kitchen could do to meet our dietary needs, and food arrived fairly quickly despite a full restaurant on a Saturday night. Definitely would go come back.

We hosted an out of town guest who had a dog. We looked for a restaurant in Golden, although we had never visited there. It is a charming small town. Buffalo Rose was a winner. They love dogs. The servers and service were exceptional. The food was excellent and generous. Absolutely no complaints!
Dirty restaurant. Disgusting bathroom. Cold food. Waitress brought food back after “top cook in the kitchen fixed it for me” (her words)and it was a bit warm but now extremely dry.

Nice to have unique choices beyond the burgers on everyone's menu. Server talked me into something that prob wasn't my vibe, but that was my fault. Food was flavorful and loved people watching the street. Would recommend.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our ceremony and reception at the Rose; our wedding was 3 weeks ago and we STILL can't get over how perfect our day was! We owe our sincerest thanks to Emily Ridenour, our coordinator and wedding-planning wizard, as well as Patricia Zutman for the speedy and informative communication from the get-go.
When deciding on the initial aspects of our ideal wedding, an all-inclusive and budget friendly venue were at the top of our list. The Rose exceeded any and all expectations that we had in those aspects and more - so much so that it was the only venue (out of 30+ corresponded with) that we viewed and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From initial contact, Patricia and her team were direct and transparent with what the Rose offers and how we could make our dream day a reality. After solidifying our decision, we were blessed to work with Emily prior to and the day of our wedding. She kept in constant communication with us throughout the planning process and made sure we had everything covered along the way.
I cannot fully articulate how incredibly amazing Emily is at planning and executing an event without a hitch! In addition to her assistance with planning and day-of coordination, we added her decor/set-up/tear down service - as a DIY bride this was an absolute blessing and truly brought my vision to life. We received countless compliments throughout the night (and to this day) about how awesome Emily was and how perfectly the night went.
Along with Emily and Patricia, we are truly grateful to all the amazing staff that helped make our wedding as magical as it was. The bartenders, servers, and cooks (and everyone in between) made the experience an unforgettable one for us and our guests. The Rose's food is beyond words in terms of quality, look and taste. We had the 14er Buffet Style Menu and were obsessed with the beef medallions and pork loin. Drinks were made consistently perfect and there was never a line for 100 guests!
We cannot thank the Rose enough for giving us the most beautiful day. We will ALWAYS recommend them #1 to anyone looking for their dream team & venue <3

Their professionalism, organization, and warmth made the planning process smooth and stress-free. On the night of the event, everything ran flawlessly—the venue looked stunning, the staff was attentive and kind, and the atmosphere was exactly what we hoped for.
