We had our wedding at The Rose Event Center in September 2025 and the entire process was a DREAM! The venue is stunning and has so much character - exactly what we were looking for!
This was our 4th venue we toured and I knew it was the one the moment we started to walk through. Both Patricia and Emily were incredible to work with. They were extremely prompt and organized in every email and conversation we had.
What we loved the most is that this is an all-inclusive venue -- something that is not very typical with other venues. The transparency in the price and what it includes were 100% exact & there were no hidden fees. We loved working with their recommended vendor (elite entertainment) for our DJ and decor. That is the only outside vendor, besides our photographer & makeup/hair people. We chose to add extra time and have access to the venue earlier on our wedding day so that both parties could get ready at the venue and I highly recommend doing that! We both had breakfast at nearby restaurants and timed everything out so that the girls would arrive first to start getting ready. The bridal space upstairs is gorgeous and perfect for getting ready with your girls. We had our first look in the state room (bar upstairs) and it was the perfect intimate moment we wanted. We sent our wedding party & parents down to the park (2 blocks away) by the river and walked down there after our first look for family/bridal party photos - a true dream without having to coordinate transportation.
I cannot recommend The Rose and their staff enough. The food was delicious and our guests enjoyed being able to explore up on the mezzanine level throughout the night. (*inside tip - you can go to the Buffalo Rose next door and do a wine tasting before making your wine selections!) Make sure you get the Churros for dessert! Our *only* regret is that we didn't have more dessert for out guests -- it ran out very quickly as we had more guests stay than expected and everyone wanted the churros (we did the dessert bar with 4 different varieties)

We booked the Buffalo Rose to host my son‘s rehearsal dinner. Coming from California. It was important to us to have an all in one venue to serve 50 guests. The Buffalo Rose did not disappoint! Excellent food, excellent communication, excellent price, excellent staff! I would highly recommend for your event.

A birthday cup cake and candle were served PRIOR to dinner dishes being cleared off the table. Table was messy and unattractive for taking a video of a bd person blowing the candle. Food was good and strawberry short cake delicious

A group of us like to have early dinner at the Buffalo Rose before Golden Beer Talks each month. Our only recommendation is that the Rose need far more low tables and chairs. Those crappy high chairs are unstable and extremely uncomfortable. The Golden Beer Talks attendees tend to be on the older side so low tables would be a much appreciated addition. Great venue! The only thing I would add is to have a gluten-free beer option at the venue. We like having dinner and drinks at the restaurant and then walking over for the music. It's hard to go from having a beer to hard liquor afterwards and would prefer to have a can of Holidaily while watching the music.

She handled every question with patience and expertise, and on the wedding day she was an absolute superstar—organized, calm, and always two steps ahead. Patricia made everything run flawlessly, and her kindness and professionalism elevated the entire experience.

The Rose, as a venue, is fantastic in its own right. The space is gorgeous with exposed brick and a great dance floor. The real value of The Rose, though, is the people. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the venue coordinators are. From the moment we toured the venue, it was clear that the staff would and did go so far beyond what was expected to ensure that we had the most wonderful day. They are organized, helpful, and professional at level, and without them, there is no chance our wedding day would have been the amazing day it was. They so very clearly care deeply about making a special day, and they so clearly have the knowledge and skillset to make it happen.
We had the most fantastic wedding reception at The Rose! Everything we dreamed of for our special day happened exactly as planned. First of all, location: in the heart of Golden, so fun and easy for everyone to explore and get in and out of. The rustic-industrial decor of the venue is SO cool, the State Bar upstairs is fabulous with bohemian-chic vibes overlooking Washington St (Golden's main street), not to mention the delicious food menu, amazing drink options, great sound system and the WONDERFUL staff, which made everything happen flawlessly! It was an unforgettable night for us and our guests. We are beyond happy!

I indulged in the Mac and cheese with steak. It was outstanding. My friend had the shrimp ceviche and honestly it had a LOT of onion, and it kind of overwhelmed the less pronounced diced shrimp. We split a bottle of my favorite wine (The Crossings). My friend loved her dessert but I have to agree that pie with ice cream crammed into a warm glass did look gorgeous but it was super hard to eat without spilling it all over the place. Service was excellent as always. Well worth a trip!
