I had the bison meat loaf sandwich without quite knowing what to expect. It was delicious, while being unlike any other meat loaf I have eaten. If you're a senior with a limited appetite like me, you might need to ask for a doggy bag. I ate the whole sandwich and left some fries on the plate.
The entire staff here and at their event center never ever disappoint. The food and service are spectacular. They recently went above and beyond to help me surprise my daughter and we were so touched. This place is a gem in Golden and we frequent it and I live in Cincinnati. My daughter had her wedding at the event center in October and it was the best wedding we ever went to and the guests are all still raving. Deborah is a wonderful and fun server and the GM , Derrick, is top notch class. Dont visit Denver/Golden etc with out coming here. The bar is great as well.

Atmosphere was great. The food excellent. I had the Southwest Chop Salad. Best Southwest Salad I've had in a long time. My husband raved about his steak. We went around 6 pm. There was just the right number of people to make it a cozy dinner experience.

Our expectations were high when we walked in. The atmosphere was good. Their hype of being the oldest building in town worked to get us in. The burgers were rated high and it was Happy Hour so a burger fries, chips or a side salad sounded great. $16 normaly and $ 10 during Happy Hour. Here's the problem... All we got was the burger! Nothing else! Not even great service. So, some deal. Just take away the sides and reduce the price? We will not return. Felt duped! So buffalo rose and Brandon D. Not cool!

On this night tried the popular pizza place up the street but the wait was to long so we went here instead. Shoulda waited for the other place. The food here is average, not exceptional or very good for that matter. The bison short ribs were tough, chewy, but he mashed potatoes were good. one drink, the cougar was watered down and too sweet. Server was distracted not that good. There are better choices in downtown Golden, go there instead.

The food was okay for the price. Appetizer came out at the same time as the entrees. They were hosting a private event but still accepting reservations. Our party of 5 was seated at a high top that would have been tight for four and should not have been used for five. Nothing there wowed me enough to go back.

We had the welcome dinner for our wedding at The Rose patio and it couldn't have gone better. Emily helped us set everything up beforehand. She communicated well with us to choose a menu that fit our budget and dietary needs. She was great and reminding us when payments were due and ensuring that everything was correct ahead of time. Chelsea was the event captain day of and we cannot say enough about how amazing she was. We had met her previously and she recommended we check out The Rose for the dinner, which is why we ended up booking here. On the day of, she communicated well with both of us and all our guests. Food and drinks came out timely. She even got a kids meal out early for a kiddo that needed it. She went above and beyond to make sure all our guests had a good time. We even had multiple guests come up to us to say they thought she was doing a great job and that the service was amazing. Zach was helping her serve and also did an amazing job. We couldn't have had a better start to our wedding weekend!

This is about the fourth time I've been tot he Buffalo Rose and it's just not great. The bartenders, I will say ARE great. So if you go sit at the bar. But otherwise. It's a big MEH for me. Service has always been inattentive, the menu is extensive but over all just fine and the drinks are expensive. There are plenty of other places in Golden that will treat you like family. Go to those.

Dropped in to grab a quick bite before a bike ride. The chopped southwestern salad was nice and fresh but I wouldn't call it chopped. Had a great seat outside on a pretty day. The service was prompt and professional. Definitely will return on another adventure day.
We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at The Rose and it was just as we had hoped. Emily helped us plan our event so that all the details were in place in advance. Adam was our banquet captain and he ensured that everyone enjoyed a good meal. Our dinner was in the Dining Room with 37 guests. We had lots of room. Appetizers were at an easy to access station. Dinner was well prepared and came out quickly for the entire group. I was a bit concerned about noise from the adjacent restaurant spaces, but it wasn't a problem.

Our waitress was terrific. The food was good until dessert which was a peach crisp with salted caramel ice cream—there was an over dose of salt in the peaches and we were unable to even finish it. Hopefully our waitress reported that to the kitchen.

This is a fun spot in downtown Golden, CO. The atmosphere is lively and there's lots of open air dining. Our lunches were good... my wife enjoyed her Green Chili Artichoke Dip, while I thought my Bison Burger was good, but not great. The ice cold Coors were a good complement.

Traveling to the area and found online. Took a chance and it was a good choice. Great Food, Great Service. We were a big group and they did not rush us at all, we were able to spend the whole evening having appetizers, drinks,dinner and we sat almost until closing time. The table was ours for the evening. We loved everything we ordered. Portions were a good size too. The Salmon was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal. Would go back if I am in the area again.
