Oh my gosh, there is a line out the door for a good reason. This place was amazing very different menu. The burger I had was the bacon one and oh my gosh so good the bun was so fresh the meat was cooked perfectly. The truffle fries were also hot and delicious and I had for the first time ever catfish nuggets. I could’ve eaten trays of these, the chipotle sauce was a little bit hot for me but also very good. I tried their pumpkin beer. I would suggest you do too. The waitress was so nice and giving me a couple of samples to make sure that I was gonna like the one I picked. I wish it wasn’t so cold out when I was there because they had a lot of nice features at this place. The bathrooms are also very clean. I would be going back for sure.
Parking: There is public parking lots, semi-close you might get lucky and find street parking also. But just plan to walk a bit.
Awesome little place just off the beaten path in Golden, CO. Enjoy a beer, indulge in some unique menu items, watch a game, or just socialize with the locals. The menu is Southern inspired with a little Midwest mixed in. The gumbo with their jalapeño cornbread is amazing. The brisket sandwich is very tasty as well. Good beer lineup, but I went with my old faithful, Coors Banquet. If you’re in Golden and haven’t tried The Trailhead, be sure to give it a shot!

Food was great, service was good, atmosphere was great. Beer selection was good. Went for a cajun meal and it was more modern cajun, not quite old New Orleans style but still very good. The person next to us had a burger that looked amazing. We got fried catfish, gumbo with shrimp/andouille and a po-boy with the same. Cajun remoulade was good, everything was good and on top of that, the bread pudding special was the icing on the cake.

Popped in for a snack. We almost didn’t walk all the way down the street, checked out the menu posted outside. We were drawn in by the gator bites. Delish, crispy with perfect spice, fried and seasoned jalapeño and lemon. Also tried pork green chile and Cajun fries.

Visiting from out of town decided to pop in and give this place a try. The server was very welcoming and helpful his recommendations for brew on tap. I could taste that the truffle parmesan wings were made fresh and the Cajun sweet potato fries were delicious!

Horribly understaffed. One server for both bar and all restaurant tables when we arrived. Took over an hour before our food order was even taken. Needless to say, by that time both our kids had lost patience, and what should have been a nice family lunch was ruined. Also, what happened to the kids games and activities that used to be offered? No longer a family friendly place. Rated 2 stars for food/beer even though I had to take mine to go, and husband's order was wrong. Also over $100 for two adult lunches and a kids meal? Ridiculous. Kitchen “appreciation” charge added to bill. Just pay your damn employees and don’t expect me to.

The the staff and food is always fantastic! We have to get the cajun catfish bites every time we go, and I love trying new entrees every time I go - especially when they have a special burger of the day! Last time they had a burger with some kind of homemade rosemary goat cheese with a bit of honey and arugula, and it was the most unique and delicious burger I've had in a long time. Even their traditional fares are some of the best burgers in Golden in my opinion, and the prices are totally reasonable. Can't wait to go back!
