Windy Saddle Cafe is the kind of place that makes you want to quit your job, buy a flannel, and move to Golden forever. The cozy, rustic vibe feels like a mountain cabin had a very tasteful Pinterest board. Their matcha latte is elite—smooth, earthy, and powerful enough to make me feel both calm and superior. The little shop trinkets are dangerously cute; I came in for caffeine and left emotionally attached to at least three items I did not need but absolutely deserved. Perfect...

I’ve given a mapping talk in this café in the past and it was great to be back… This time for breakfast. It was so incredible. I had a avocado toast with an egg on it and lots of sprouts… And the fruit too. Thank you all. Oh and the dark roast coffee was superb. Update 2026… The place is still as wonderful as ever!
