I wanted to share something I noticed during my recent trips to Cafe Mexicali in Greeley, mainly because I really do enjoy this restaurant and would like to see it grow and succeed. While sitting toward the back of the restaurant, I saw an employee coming back from the dish room vaping. I was behind a pillar, so I don’t think they realized they could be seen. During other visits I also noticed someone vaping in the office area right next to the cook area.
I know restaurant work is stressful, and I completely understand needing breaks, but vaping in or near food prep areas was concerning to see and doesn’t seem okay from a health code standpoint. I felt it was important to mention so it can be addressed.
I also want to mention that there are a few employees who have been genuinely kind, patient, and helpful, which I really appreciate. On the other hand, I have had interactions with other employees who seemed rude or impatient, which makes the environment feel inconsistent and stressful.
I’m sharing this respectfully and with good intentions, and I hope it is taken that way. But I do hope that these issued will be addressed.

The portions are a five star, plenty of food. Couple of issues though, the burrito had a sweet taste to it which I really did not like, also it was mostly beans and rice and barely any beef.

Honestly considering naming my next two kids Sweet Pork and Creamy Habanero. This place is unreal. No fuss, friendly staff (surprising for what is likely one of the youngest workforces in town) and a clean dining area. Granted, we always come before dinner rush hits, but it's still an awesome experience every time we visit.

Asked the girl if she could do a Breakfast Quesole, she replied yes. Awesome, i’ll take the bacon one please. I guess she took that too literally..and put nothing but bacon. No eggs, no sauce. Just bacon & cheese…

Came in here midday on a Tuesday : not busy at all. Wasn’t greeted standing in the line, walked to the register and told to go back to front and order: bad service and bad serving size. Customer service was bad and wouldn’t come back. Stop using young workers who are scared to speak.

The food is way too messy, too salty and the folks are not friendly by any means!
Sometimes staff can be a bit rude or simply will ignore customers for 5 or so minutes but I always get help eventually. Food always comes out hot and delicious so there's not much to complain about. I would like it if they kept the place a little cleaner though. The floors and tables tend to be sticky.

The employees at the store are beyond rude. You can tell they don’t care about their jobs. They’re just standing there Making fun of every single customer in the store. And people know that they’re talking bad about them. It’s just sad. The food is amazing Definitely Overpriced but really good but the food could be the best food in the world and nobody wants to get made fun of while they’re sitting there trying to enjoy their meal. It’s a bad taste in your mouth Instantly And don’t even think about putting your Order in online because you never get what you ordered if you order extra meat you get less meat then if you were to just get one serving it’s just sad this place used to be amazing and they used to have the best employees and now it’s just gone downhill But if you want a side of shame with your burrito, then this might be the place to go
