Great restaurant! The food & service were both really good. I'm very thankful for the vegetarian/vegan options -- The veggie burrito was delicious.

This has to be the best place in Colorado to eat brunch with kids. They have these cool dry erase board menus for kids and that Picasso pancake was a huge hit with my kids. I'm a coffee snob and that Chai latte was one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be back.

The food is alright at best. It'd be better, but unfortunately the time it takes to get your food is awful. It's on average 45-50 minute wait even if you order a bagel. If it was drop dead amazing food It wouldn't be so bad, but it's "forgettable" food. Nothing special, nothing terrible. Come here when you have nothing urgent to do, expect hour of waiting and 15 minutes of eating.

I recently tried to stop in for a drink before closing at 2pm. I arrived before 2, with enough time to finish my drink and leave promptly, I was rudely turned away by the hostess with a green streak in her hair, who claimed they were closed even though it was still before 2. She dismissed me, even as I saw two workers actively mixing drinks behind the bar. When I politely asked if the fall menu drinks were available at the after-hours cocktail bar, she affirmed but rudely repeated that they were closed again. Having worked in the restaurant industry for years, I know that if a customer arrives while closed, they should at least be treated with respect.
As for the dining experience, my last two visits were disappointing. I ordered a burger that was drowned in queso/green chili and after just two bites, it became a messy and unenjoyable dish. During another visit, I ordered the Monte Cristo, which was overwhelmed with jelly, and after a long wait, the bread was soggy by the time it reached our table. Once again, it was not enjoyable. The food here is below mid.
On the same occasion, my partner ordered the apple pie mimosa. It arrived in a small glass with a pumpkin spice rim and a drop of flavor, but all we could taste was apple juice. At $12, it was far too expensive for what amounted to a tiny glass of mostly juice, especially considering that a full bottle could be bought for $11 at a liquor store. My friend ordered a matcha drink and asked the server to put a shot of vodka in it. When it arrived, she could not taste the vodka but was still charged for it. The server muttered something about the drink before walking away quickly to help the next table.
The service at Out of the Blue is not good to say the least. On my last visit, there was only one server closing out the restaurant, and she was clearly overwhelmed, managing at least five tables while trying to take care of ours as well. We arrived and (who I am assuming was) the owner was too busy putting away a delivery to help customers, and the waitress was running around frantically serving the other guests. We waited for quite a while to be acknowledged or sat, and we only had a party of 3, but the people who came in maybe 15 minutes after us were sat right away. I would suggest having at least two servers and hostesses closing on a Friday night to avoid these long wait times and reduce the stress on staff. It is unfair to the guests and the staff to leave them short handed when everyone knows it is going to be busy on Fridays.
My experiences at the after-hours cocktail bar have generally been quite good. I want to recognize Bethany as an excellent bartender—she is always polite, attentive, and as quick as possible. I truly appreciate her service whenever she is behind the bar. While the drinks are a bit overpriced, the atmosphere makes it a worthwhile spot if you're comfortable spending around $30 for two drinks, including the tip.

I recommend the pancakes. I'm not a big pancake fan, and I thought their pancakes were amazing.

The service here was absolutely horrible. The food could have been better, the bread was stale the bacon was harder then rock. The establishment is nice inside but it be way better if the service was better.

My family and I gathered here a while back, and we thought the food was great. Services at the time were slow, but we figured it would be, considering it was a busy day.

I decided to come alone and have some brunch while the place was pretty empty, but no one ever came to me. I sat myself down at the bar and was looked at twice, but no one came to acknowledge me or even ask what I'd like to drink. Two new customers came, and they quickly got taken care of. While I am just sitting there, waiting for someone to at least get me a coffee. Very disrespectful.

I'd give this place a 1 star, but I gave it 2 because the food was good the last time I had it...
