The service was kind, the place is nice and clean! The burgers have a great flavor! Totally would recommend! The dough is also super tasty. However don’t expect a thick burger, it’s a different style these don’t have as much cabbage or meat compared to others I’ve had. Also if you’re not into velveeta type cheese pass on the cheese ones they have a lot of it almost takes away from the cabbage and meat. Still, happy to have come across this place will be back!

This place is near and dear to my heart , I grew up making krautburgers and going to the original location behind the train tracks of 85! Since my grandmother passed away this is as close as I can get to the traditional krautburgers without making them myself 😂 10/10 will always recommend even to people who aren’t accustomed to German food !

For $9 and hardly any filling just go get a $2 bag of dinner rolls and get the same thing. I wouldn’t go back

FOOD: I ordered 7 things to try a range of options (1) a Honey Bourbon Brat in a Bun - it was extremely delicious, the brat was juicy and flavorful with no gristle, easily top tier and their homemade bun was surprisingly good, (2) Spaetzle Bowl With Brat and Gravy - also very good, the brat was excellent and cut into bite-sized slices which made it easy to eat, the gravy wasn't too thick or thin and had a pleasant rich flavor, the spaetzle was cooked well and essentially had the consitency of small dumplings (3) Hot German Potato Salad - the multiple other reviews of this item are spot on, easily the best one I have had anywhere in Colorado or traveling, potatoes were cooked just right, not excessive bacon (just the perfect amount), subtle but tasty dressing (4) Traditional Kraut Burger - their main attraction, simple but delicious, gives a nastalgic feeling of "what your mom used to make" if you had them growing up (5) Jalapeno Cheddar Kraut Burger - I was a little hesitant as I am a wuss when it comes to spicy, but was very pleasantly surprised to find it flavored quite well and not overbearing, essentially the FLAVOR of jalapeno but with a very mild burn, which is what I personally like (6) Cinnamon Roll - not going to lie, I had low expectations, not many places do them correctly, was shocked to find it was easily one of the best I had ever had, doughy but not hard or dry, favored well with light caramel(?) sauce, didn't taste "artificial" which I normally attribute to cheap processed flour, which means they didn't cut corners (7) Cherry Coffee Cake - this is the only thing I wouldn't give full stars on, it was too thick/dense in the bread base which also made it dry out a bit, the cherries were typical canned cherries but maybe a little better quality, nothing special unfortunately, I wouldn't order it again myself but that's the ONLY thing I wouldn't get again

SERVICE: lady running the register was pleasant and communicated well, I intentially threw 2 curveballs to see if she would remember/get them right and much to my surprise she did perfectly and there was zero mistakes on the food or order, and for an order that large I was waiting less than 10 min for the food which was also surprising

CLEANLINESS: everything seemed in good order, nothing noticable at least, please be aware that I did not use the restrooms since I was doing a to-go order and didn't stay

PRICING: pricing was reasonable, at the time of writing this (11/21/24) Brat in a Bun was 5.95, Kraut Burger was 8.35, Jalapeno Cheese Kraut was 8.70, Large German Potato Salad was 5.90, Spaetzle Brat with Gravy was 11.95, Cinnamon Roll was 4.95, and Coffee Cake was 4.95 - for most people I am sure a single burger and a side like the potato salad would be more than enough which puts this into the pricing range of fast food/to-go restaurants but a little on the cheaper side than most (McDonalds I am looking at you) and definitely a more overall pleasant experience.

SUMMARY: Schwartz has been added to my repeat list and I will definitely go again: food, service, cleanliness, and pricing were all quite good and I highly recommend giving it a shot!
