Far and away the best restaurant in Gunnison. Absolutely everything on the menu is phenomenal, the drinks are all great, and the service is always stellar. Tapas may be intimidating at first, but trust this random person on the Internet when they say you will not be disappointed.
I consider myself a bit of a foodie and I have eaten all over the country including Boston, New York, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Denver and more. This place is one of my top 10-ever.
We had an amazing meal at 1880. Each plate was delicious. Flavors of each dish were so well thought out and prepared to perfection. I couldn’t pick a favorite until we got the banana pudding. Our server Courtney was delightful.

I visit Gunnison once or twice a year and I always eat at 1880. The food is unparalleled! I crave it between every visit! No other meal will taste as good after eating here!
They made individual menus for two very specific allergies we had at our table. They marked everything that could be altered or was free of the allergens for our party and were extremely accommodating. And the food quality was amazing! Fresh ingredients and a knowledgeable staff made for an amazing and informative dining experience. One of the employees is a farmer that really knows his stuff and provides for the restaurant. Whenever we come back to see family and friends in town we will definitely be dining here!
Dietary restrictions: Amazing at handling allergies! They accommodated our party’s needs to an outstanding degree which I rarely find in small towns.

What haven’t we tried here? We love 1880! It is our favorite place to eat in Gunnison. The burger has so much flavor and any flatbread combination that is on the menu is wonderful! We also love the fried cauliflower! The drink menu is excellent too. But we have to mention the cheesecake, our favorite dessert. You just can’t go wrong. Thank you Pat and Kate!

Doesn't have a family friendly atmosphere; I wouldn't recommend bringing your children.

As a New Yorker, I'm constantly finding myself disappointed in the food in Colorado, so I wasn't expecting this gem in Gunnison.A little more on the expensive side, but not too bad splitting tapas with a table, and some dishes are more filling than others.Get the Peruvian pepper pasta, the fried cauliflower, and the mushroom croquettes!Oh and the torrijas for desert, it nearly made me cry.

We stopped in for cocktails and desert on a Saturday night. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Drinks were wonderful and the Banana pudding was unbeatable! Great experience, can’t wait to go back for dinner next time we are in the area.
