In town for a few days, checked out a number of the other restaurants and this was our last and best meal in town. Wonderful pineapple red curry with chicken. Great service. We sat in the patio with a nice breeze. We had a wonderful meal. Recommended.

I enjoy blackstock for their prominence in the Gunnison community. I will say when I go there I find myself defaulting to the bistro fries. It's a safe choice that's always consistently good.

One thing I find personally is that the menu is a little smaller than what I would like and so diversity and price range can be hard to find. But I will say that being the case their food is always top notch. Their bar is cozy and relaxed and their mixes drink menu is really great for a small town venue. They have a fair selection of beers but I'm not always impressed by the diversity of options I've been getting the same graham cracker porter there for almost a year it feels, so I do look forward to an updated beer menu at some point. Otherwise blackstock is a staple place to visit in Gunnison, their staff is great and I appreciate how great the quality of their food is. Wednesday ramen nights are a must, just be ready for potential sticker shock at first and plan to make a reservation especially after 6 PM

Blackstock Bistro is my Gunni go-to. Killer burgers, delicious ramen on Wednesdays, and bistro fries all night, every night. The atmosphere is divine and the wait staff is always friendly. The owners have created such a Gunnison Gem and we love Blackstock nights.

Bad food. Bad service. Bad prices.

This place used to be our “go-to” and now we are consistently let down. Much like most restaurants in Gunnison, depreciating quality is met with increasing prices. My St. Louis ribs looked/tasted like was microwaved and drowned in ketchup. Our bacon Mac &Cheese arrived like lukewarm hospital food.

Despite our best efforts of eye contact and waving her down, our waitress forgot and blatantly ignored us for a full hour after appetizers were delivered. We had to get up and put our orders through at the bar and cash out with a completely different waitress. This was a Tuesday night at 7:30 and we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. We have had too many of these experiences at Blackstock and the prices are far too expensive for this level of service.

It took 45 minutes to get our drinks. It took 50 mins to get our food, but the appetizer never arrived. The ribeye was OK, but not great or worth the price. They comped the drinks and took the appetizer off the bill. It was a total cluster. Will never return. Do not recommend, and worst restaurant experience we’ve had ever.

Thanks for not telling us your kitchen closed at the crack of dawn on a Saturday. Bought horrible tasting drinks thinking we would get food then discovered on our own your kitchen closed before most humans decide to eat on a Saturday. Terrible service and no food.

Had a great experience on Wednesday. Sat at the bar which had a lot of activity but bartender Molly Pike moved with a sense of urgency and genuine hospitality. Loved the teamwork. Food was spot on(ribeye) and Ramen next to me looked legit. I will return to this place because of the positive vibes and and genuine hospitality. Give it a try when you are in Gunnison. Good people in those four walls.

The dishes were creative, beautifully prepared, and uber-delicious. The service was attentive and kind even with a packed house. The meals came out more quickly than I would have expected for this quality. The staff was incredibly helpful when I called the next day to retrieve a lost object and they even mailed it back to me so that I could avoid the 7-hour round-trip drive to get it.

Super cute place with cozy and fun vibes, staff was great, attentive & kind. We burgers, the meatloaf dish, fish tacos, mac & cheese and A LOT of fries and loved it! Good variety of small plates and sides and bigger plates. Heard the ramen is super good and looking forward to trying that on the next visit! Ramen special is tuesdays i believe!

Had a meatloaf the name of which I can't pronounce, phenomenal. Every dish was so flavorful and well put together, and excellent service.

In October, we found that many of the restaurants are closed on certain nights of the week. We arrived at 5:20 and they could seat our party of 5 if we promised to be finished by 7:30. I watched MANY people be turned away after us because they didn’t have reservations.
The monkey balls were good but you only get 4 small bites in the whole appetizer. The ribs tasted good but were covered in so much sauce it made eating them messy (unlike 5B’s where they are served dry and you add your own sauce). The ramen bowls were enjoyed by 3 people in our party. They said it was tasty and filling. The upgraded fries were the best part.

The service was good. They kept the water jug full, cleared plates as we used them, checked on us and made sure we had what we needed.
It’s a little pricey for what you get but overall a decent meal.
