Some of the best ribs I’ve ever had. They were cooked to perfection. I think the sauce may be homemade but I didn’t ask. I’m not sure I could eat anywhere else in Gunnison after trying this restaurant. Everyone was friendly in a casual, sincere way and I appreciated the vibe of the place. The service was good, not exceptional, but again sincere, like they actually cared.

This place USED to be great. I would get the prospector burger with a buffalo or elk patties; but stopped after they were repeatedly dry and tasteless. Thought I would try them again and ordered a ribeye medium. It took over an hour to come out and they weren’t even at half capacity. When it finally did arrive it was WELL done. They remade the order and it arrived 45 mins later med RARE. They obviously do not know how to cook a steak and offered no apology, discount or comped portion of the meal. The bar manager was very rude and unprofessional in his handling of the situation. We tipped the wait staff in cash and they added a 20% gratuity when running the card. I will never eat here again!
I enjoy taxidermy but not sure how African big game ties into the old western miner theme. Seems like a way for the owner to write off his trophy room.

Great food and terrific service! Benjamin is fantastic. Everything we had was great. Homemade Mac and Cheese is incredible, steaks were great, even brussel sprouts were so good our kids loved them! We will be back for sure.

Florian was our server and she was very sweet and attentive! Very warm and cozy inside this restaurant. I got the patty melt, added some sautéed mushrooms, and got a side of au jus. My significant got the small plate 5oz steak. Which the steak did not need any steak sauce and was cooked to perfection!

I have been coming to this place almost every other day for the past two weeks. Sufficed to say... absolutly amazing. The food is cheap (if you want it to be) and high quality! Seriously tasty! Plus you get a lot of condiments to choose how to garnish your meal. 10/10 no notes.
