I asked when I walked in what I thought was a reasonable question of where do I order takeout. The piezan who was working the oven started to scream that they were really busy and other things. Well thanks for the welcome. It appeared to uninformed me that he must be the owner because if he wasn’t with his attitude he probably wouldn’t have been hired in the first place. The other staff was very nice and the pizza was ok. Luckily there are many other choices to be made. Lastly, please look at my other reviews and see how I like to complement the positive. Not in this case.

stopped by on our way through gunnison to telluride. our server, valco, was top notch. food was great as well. great meal to break up our 8 hr drive. 5 stars.

Growing up in Gunnison, Pie-Zan’s was always my top choice for pizza, so we had to go when visiting town last week. The newer location has a nice atmosphere - they did an amazing job remodeling the building. We were there at the height of lunch hour, and the staff were hardworking and friendly. The pizza and garlic knots were still delicious, especially with a side of parmesan dressing.

Pros: Pizza is GOOD. A little light on the toppings, but the sauce gives it a good punch.
Cons: The ambience is rushed, loud, and frantic.
Our server, Jacob, was great. Calm, apologetic for the long wait, and made sure we were taken care of.
However, other staff interactions were off-putting (seriously, no eye contact or pleasantries when seating us, just tossed the menus down and walked away). All staff need to be trained to SLOW DOWN! I don’t care how busy you are, a customer shouldn’t be bumped into multiple times by staff who are moving recklessly throughout the restaurant.

This place has an incredible gluten free pizza! I stop here every time I am passing through Gunnison. Their GF pizza is on par with quality normally only found in much larger cities like Chicago or NYC.

The food was great. I was in the mood for a hearty pasta and the Times Square Pasta hit the spot. I asked for extra sauce which they brought right away. Excellent service.
Edit: I can back a 2nd time. The food was not quite as good this time, but the service was not as good. There are plenty of employees around but it was difficult to get my water refilled each time. One of my favorite things about his place was their water. The third water refill that was given to me tasted like gross tap water. I guess they didn’t want to bring me water anymore. I wish I had taken down the name of the waitress who took care of me the first time so she could get the credit she deserves for being amazing.
