The Dilly has done so well filling the big shoes it stepped into. This is where you really feel the magic of Gunnison’s community and if you want to eat like a local, pick the Dilly. The sandwiches are fresh and they make your order so quickly. The staff is always friendly and conversational, so the wait for your food doesn’t feel like a wait. The My Hammy Vice sandwich was kinda disappointing. It was supposed to be sourdough bread, I’m not sure what kind of bread I got. It had ham and cheese, ok.
But was dry with only yellow mustard. It seemed like it was an act of god to get a side of mayo! Finally, the chef dug around in the back room and brought me 2 packets of what seemed out of date “odd” colored mayo.
No bueno, I do not recommend this so called deli.
