This small roadside diner sits high in the Rockies in the rural village of Hartsel on US Hwy 24. It has good food, great pies when they aren’t sold out, and excellent service. The saloon, as it bills itself, is always bustling with locals and travelers alike.
Personally, I’ve never had a bad experience here and I try to make it in at least once a week and have done so for more than five years.

This place is awesome. Everything is made fresh to order, not pre made frozen junk like most places. Service is absolutely stellar as well. We have been here several times for breakfast, lunch, & dinner, it is always a very good experience.

This place is my go to in south park. I work for Arkansas Valley Roll-Off, and I frequently deliver dumpsters in the area. Service is always quick and the natural cut fries (probably from the valley all though I don't know that) are incredible. Mexican food is great burgers remind you of the old Poncha Truck stop. I would highly recommend not passing this place up.

We stopped by for breakfast. It was absolute delicious. The best scrambled eggs and the fluffiest pancakes I've eaten in a long time. Hubby had the biggest delicious omelette. Service is great and friendly. Overall a perfect start into the day!

A must stop place for folks riding the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. The food was amazing, staff awesome, and atmosphere brilliant. They also allow cyclists to camp out back.

Wasn’t expecting really good food here but got the buffalo cheese burger and fries. It was sooooo good! Fresh and delicious. Pretty sure the fries were made on site, not frozen. What a hidden gem!
