Shrimp fajitas, chips, salsa, mushrooms, bacon wrapped jalapeños, smothered steak burrito, rice, sopapillas all phenomenal. PHENOMENAL.
Pass on the black beans, the refried are better.
The pico de gallo tastes like it's made in advance and refrigerated overnight, with the onions permeating the rest of it with that cut-aged-onion smell/taste. Not great.
Same with the Veggies, the lettuce and tomato smelled, looked, and tasted like they'd been cut earlier in the week and refrigerated, the latter appearing like it'd been partially frozen and thawed.
Twice in 2 weeks I ordered from here off Grubhub. The quality was consistent, with most of the order between 2 people being absolutely delicious, and just the side veggies, beans, and pico being kinda gross.
Definitely my new favorite restaurant, the chips my goodness the chips are the absolute best.
Quite sure the food is good, but with the delivery, they just send everything in a tin container covered with shredded lettuce. It's ridiculous.
First and foremost, I really wanted to like this place. I've been here maybe eight or nine times, but I will not be returning. The servers are generally great and on top of things, despite most of them being teenagers. The food, however, is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes the churros will have cream (or something cream-like) in them, sometimes not, sometimes there's no cinnamon sugar. Sometimes the shrimp tacos will come out with no toppings or chipotle ranch, sometimes they're served on stale tortillas, but never will they have lime in them as stated on the menu. Speaking of lime, the guacamole DESPERATELY needs some amount of seasoning. No salt, no lime, nothing. It's got plenty of filler, though - diced onion, tomato, and strangely enough, shredded lettuce. The only reason I could see for putting shredded lettuce in guacamole is cutting costs; which is also reflected by the fact that they very obviously microwaved a hamburger and served it to me as well. Spongy bread surrounding dehydrated and unseasoned meat really completes the 'cafeteria with sugar skulls and tequila endorsements' atmosphere that they've worked so hard on. And to preempt the response from the owner: if it's on your menu, it shouldn't make me gag. The entire menu is wildly inconsistent and I highly doubt that anything is made in-house. I feel bad for the serving staff as I have observed the skewed power dynamic more than once between them and management. There's only one reason I would recommend this establishment to anyone as they would have to be old, white, and on the wrong side of history to frequent these tables.
Great service, great Tostadas. Try the Diva Rita! (margarita drink)
Wow. We just found the worst Mexican restaurant of all time. We were commenting on how cheap the food was before we ordered, and now we know why.
If you want to experience terrible Mexican cuisine, highly recommend.
Cheap, nice service and stuff but the food was pretty bland and the carne asada I ordered looked and tasted like just ground beef.
Great neighborhood find! I had no idea it existed. Very happy to find an alternative to Los Dos which is always too crowded. Friendly staff, good service. Chips were warm and fresh. Food was good. We will be back!
Fantastic food and friendliest people that work there.
They seemed short staffed but amazingly, service was good, food was pretty fast to come out, and our experience was positive!

Walked in here, and walked right out, after more than half of the establishments tables were filled with dirty dishes from previous customers(Disgusting). They tried to make us wait for a tablet to be cleaned but it seemed like the servers couldn’t handle a few customers on a slow day and manage to clean tables as customers left. The place is nice but is definitely not a AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant. I’m glad we walked out because I was proved right after reading the previous reviews.

A friend and I were trying to find a place halfway between us to meet for mexican for dinner and we randomly picked Casa Caliente. Fun funky decor, good selection of various margaritas and drinks. (I had the Diva Margarita). The menu is a good sized and has a nice variety - and it was refreshing to see so many salad options other than just a classic taco salad.
We started with the chips and queso; the queso came out nearly boiling and was super tasty.
I had the birra taco special with black beans and rice. The tacos were delicious! My friend had the enchilada which she said was good, but neither of us liked the super bland refried beans.
We ate so much of the chips and queso that we did not have room to try one of many dessert options.
