Konark Grocers

This is a decent Indian store in the Denver Area. They have almost all kinds of Indian spices, groceries and fruits & vegetables along with other condiments. Though they are bit expensive, service is good, they have some chats and other eateries available from Friday to Sunday. Some regular snacks are available throughout the week.

Absolutely Disappointed and Disgusted – Will Never Return

I bought two packs of pre-cut bitter gourd (కాకరకాయ) from Konark Grocery(Highlands Ranch) on May 10th around 1 PM. To my shock and disappointment, both packs were completely spoiled and covered with fungus. Not just those, but most of the vegetables in the store looked old, decayed, and unfit for consumption. It’s clear that freshness and hygiene are not a priority here.

When I returned to the store on May 11th at 3 PM to ask for a refund, I was met with rudeness and complete lack of customer service. I had opted for a paperless checkout, so I didn’t have a physical receipt. They then asked if I was registered with my phone number – but I had recently moved to Centennial, Colorado and hadn’t registered yet. Based on this alone, they refused to refund me for visibly spoiled, moldy vegetables.

What kind of store denies a refund on rotten produce just because you didn’t register your number? This is not just poor service – it feels like a blatant attempt to loot customers. The attitude of the staff, especially the lady at the counter, was unprofessional and rude.

I urge others to check your produce thoroughly before buying here – or better yet, shop somewhere that values cleanliness, customer trust, and basic decency. I walked in expecting quality and fairness – I left with a bag of fungus and a very bitter taste.

Everything is great except meat. Always stinks. Vegetables are fresh. They restock quick too. 3 stars only because of how many times I threw meat after 1 day of purchase

The store has a nice and a clean setup, but the sugarcane juice is really overpriced($6.00) for what you get. It tastes fresh, but the cost doesn't feel justified.

They charge $5.99 for sugercane juice. Not 2 min drive from here at SV groceries they charge just $2.99. Ridiculously expensive!

My all-time favorite.

It started out as one of those few Indian Grocery Stores which had quality vegetables but later on in recent 1 year it turned into any other generic Indian Grocery Store. We switched to buying from other Indian Grocery stores because these days every single time we visit this store all we find is stale Vegetables.

We checked out local desi shopping center and this was the closest. They offer a variety of Indian and Pakistani items like masalas, flour, and other grocery items. The prices are very good. Much cheaper than others in town and other states. But some of the items were out of stock. Couldn't get Besan. But overall a good store.

Indian grocery with all sorts of specialized product. Need help on presentation, labeling, product placement. Prices not clearly displayed. Very light on fresh produce.

A month ago, I bought a Laxmi rice bag from Konark. Rice is not a good quality. It is mixer of India’s Ration shop 1rupee rice with normal rice . My old rice bags has no issue with rice. People and store owners please take care when you buying the Laxmi rice bag.

Indo-Pak grocery with many reasonably priced spices and healthy foods, such as dried figs, cracked wheat & red rice.

Well stocked Indian grocery store. Sells the best savory snacks like samosa and egg puffs in town.

Decent Indian food products options. So glad they started stalking up on newer Amul products.

The last comment also about expired item and today I found expired sweets, nothing improved. Be careful specially with the sweets here.
Overall feedback, Very unorganized store, very tough to find the item price.
